Another big upset alert, Butler

#17 ranked Butler losing by 5 with 3 minutes left against Cleveland State in the Horizon Championship. Game is on ESPN. Could Butler be throwing this game to get Horizon 2 in the big dance? Could be the first signs of it for this year.

I don't think a team would risk a lower seed by trying to get another team in.
 
And Butler throws it to Cleveland St. Had 3 chances to hit a last chance 3 and missed them badly. Also had about 6 other chances to tie it but didn't get er done. Cleveland State gets in for first time in 23 years.

What I like best about Cleveland St winning is it may knock Creighton out of the big dance. After watching their fan behavior last weekend I hope they never see the big dance again. Security had a full time job just escorting Creighton fans out of the arena. One guy on ESPN had Creighton getting the last slot but I bet they didn't have Bulter losing. NIT has a spot for the Bluejays and I hope an early exit.

This is why I have always hated the conference tournaments. Sure, they are exciting and generate a lot of money but they often penalize a good mid-major that has proven their quality and superiority over the course of an entire season.

But, then again, I'm a basketball traditionist who hates the shot clock, loves the four corners offense, could do without the 3-point shot, prefers a jump ball, and would do away with the jump ball /change of posession rule. Oh well.
