Former BU player Joah Tucker plays for Le Havre in the French Pro A league. He is averaging 12.9 ppg for the Le Havre team.
Joah played 1 season at Bradley 2001-2002, then transferred and played 3 seasons for Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He was recruited by Molinari and played his first year under Mo. Then Mo left after the 2001-2002 season, and Les took over. Tucker left and transferred to UW-Milwaukee. He was originally from Milwaukee. He said he had decided to leave before Mo was let go, but who knows.
Bradley felt they had evidence that UWM had illegal contact with Tucker before he was released from his scholarship and filed a complaint with the NCAA. But the NCAA denied the claim, and Bradley eventually released Tucker. He had a nice career at UW-M.

He certainly got in shape during the year he had to sit. Plus, he picked up an outside shot. He was a 6'5" player that looked uncomfortable on the outside. You could tell there was some talent, but nothing like what he showed his last few years at UW-Milwaukee.

There were reports Tucker, while still on scholarship at BU in the spring of 2002, went to visit the UW-M campus and worked out in the gym with and practiced with the UW-M players while the head coach was present.
Joah and UW-M never even denied this and of course, this is a clear violation. Their alibi was that they were told that Joah had already left and been released from his scholarship....claimed it was just a misunderstanding, but there was even more evidence to the contrary. PM me if you want to know more.

My understanding on this was he met with coach les and told him he was looking forward to playing a more up-tempo style of game then blindsided a month later by telling him he would be transferring ; the coach that illegally recruited him was Bruce Pearl .
