Anybody see Bobby Knight interview on CSN Chicago?

If Knight actually wanted to coach here and my name tag says "Mike Cross" on it...I'd be open to talking with the guy.

I agree. In fact, if Knight expressed interested, and I was BU I'd immediately change him into my top candidate and see if I can work it out.

I'd at least put a spin on it for PR purposes. If I'm Cross I'd return the call and find a way for BK to say nice things but make sure he would not take the job. Imagine having to manage that situation?

JG calls BK in the office telling him he has to suspend X player for Y amount of time for whatever reason. I'm sure BK would demand 100% control of any program he ran.

99.99999999% likely he won't come here. But in the .00000001% chance he does, count me as one who would support bringing the general in.

I understand why people would be gaga over BK.....I'm just saying I wouldn't be. I've never liked the guy much even though he was a great coach .

Actually it's kind of silly even talking about it...but that's the way it goes.

there have been roughly 150 new coaching hires since Bob Knight quit at Texas Tech -- and none of them hired Bob Knight...
I think there's a reason..........

I think he's way past his prime T is the main reason though....I'm just saying he's accomplished more...alot more... than the coaches you compared him too.

Yeah and all of those guys T mentioned are associated with recruiting violations... Not a thing knight is known for.

North Carolina State message boards and twitters have some buzzing about getting Bobby Knight....:roll:

and Arkansas posted it's ad for the head coaching position...

And so is ours..... and I imagine most every other school that recently fired their coach. As you've said before tornado -- Not gonna happen.

Reading through the 06-07 Braves media guide the other day and in skimming Jeremy Crouch's profile, I was reminded that he wants to be a coach one day. In fact his dream is to coach in a final four.

Down the road, I would love to see JC get a shot somewhere.

Also, on the Knight thing. The last ESPN announcer/analyst that left ESPN for a coaching gig pretty much has put St. John's back on the map. First round loss in NCAA but big story all year long.
