As the board turns.....there have been more announcements from signings to not getting in or players leaving than I can grasp........ :? So to keep it light.....a poll! :D
 
PS.......quick......someone check the PJS to see if we hired a new asst coach in the last 10 minutes.......could be old news by now? :-o :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
There are two questions there, and they're opposites. Actually, I think the question perfectly represents the current fan mindset ... :-o

I think we're done, even if SS leaves... We'd have 12 scholarship players and enough JUCOs.. I'm not sure there are any 4-year players left out there, so it'd probably be best to let the schollie roll over to next season.
 
i agree fish. it would definitely hinder our opportunities next year if we signed another juco now. i think we are deep enough as it is. this is not to say we couldn't use another guy, it just makes more sense to hold the scholie for four year recruits next year. gotta think long-term too.
 
Yes I believe we are done recruiting ; I think we need to go after freshmen next season as we only have 3 in the 2007-2008 class, I know XC. is suppose to come here next season but do we need that many post players?

We're going to be going hard to the hole for guards next year. Hopefully, they're of the 4 year variety. I think slowly but surely we're trying to move to recruiting more 4 year players. 3 HS kids are coming in this year, and hopefully 3-4 more next year.
 
I think we are done. I too would like to see our recruiting involve more 4 year players. However, with that being said, I couldn't be happier with the Jucos we've ended up signing. JL was left with no choice but to fill some of the voids(Big Pat leaving, Crawford and Buycks and DW, as well as the Fears situation) left in the program with players who could step in and play right away. We did an outstanding job of filling those voids quickly with quality people. It's not likely a program can fill unforseen voids with HS players, because the good ones are usually already committed before the end of the season, when most defections occur.
