Are we going to get a mid-season transfer???

With Trey Pettigrew leaving the team earlier this year, the guard plays seems to be a big area of concern (especially with Hickman hurt). Do we think Wardle will pick up a mid season transfer like we did with META last year? Deen has been decent and Burch and Ellis have shown flashes but nowhere we need to be to compete for a MVC title this year in a guard heavy league.

First, Jonovic was not a "mid season transfer". He was a freshman enrollee at mid-year last year.

There are very few players in the transfer portal at mid-year. Verbalcommits shows just 9 currently in the 2024 portal, and 3 of them are already committed. Of the other 6, only 1 is a point guard (Rakeim Gary), and he is transferring from his second school after leaving the New Mexico team before the season began.- https://verbalcommits.com/transfers/2024/D1#google_vignette

And even if Bradley could coax a portal player to transfer and commit now, NCAA rules would not allow them to be eligible until next academic year.

So the only hope would be a mid-year new enrollee. They would be eligible right away, but D1 teams getting a mid-year freshman enrollee, like Jonovic, are extraordinarily rare. It has probably happened before, but I am not aware of any other cases, other than Meta. And like with Jonovic, a player who is an unrecruited freshman who has never played with or practiced with the team, would almost certainly not contribute anything to the team.

So to answer your question, it's not going to happen.
