Article on Wardle

Totally bogus article on Wardle by Indiana st beat writer saying he is a bully. Journal star has article and is on x former Twitter. I've sat behind the bench and this is not happening. Total fabrication. I'm tired of people printing or saying false things about others publicly for their 20 seconds of fame. Outrageous. I really hope we play Indiana st again at valley tournament.

This guy is a clown!!!! He probably never played a high level sport in his life. Tom izzo is way worse and he gets praised. Wardle pushes his guys to be the best they can. This gets these young men lots of opportunities after playing days at Bradley are over. What I see is a father pushing his kids to be the best they can even if they aren’t super talented. Tuff love equals real life not a fantasy that people live in.

Read the article. The guys a clown. Way of the world today is to spread false rumors and hurt a persons credibility. Hope we can retain Coach Wardle for a few more years. The guys a winner.

Wonder what his articles on Bobby Knight read. I have yet to see a chair go across the floor. I haven't seen any articles about chocking players, I think that was Knight. Yet Indiana writers didn't think Knight could do any wrong.

I believe Wardle has one of the most loyal staffs that have been with him the longest.

I will admit I don't always agree with everything he does but that makes me human, I think.

Wonder what his articles on Bobby Knight read. ....

Doyel didn't work for the Indy Star when Knight was coaching, but he has written several articles about Knight in the last decade, criticizing him for failing to show up for celebrations at IU, like the 40th anniversary of their 1976 NCAA Championship team, and the induction of A.J. Guyton into the IU Hall of Fame.
And he has written several columns about the infamous chair-throwing incident. But I can't find any personal criticism of Knight himself that is anywhere as nasty as what he said about Coach Wardle based on a few seconds of watching him in one single game.
The guy is a pathetic Mike Royko wannabee, who is disliked by almost everyone.

Gregg Doyel, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I would constantly see articles he wrote about deflategate, since he covers the Colts. And he would not let it go, years later. The man holds long grudges. So no matter what you tell him about Wardle, I'm sure he won't listen.

What a strange article. Coach Wardle is an excellent coach, but yeah he's probably an egomaniac and big baby. I don't really care as long as he keeps winning. It's working. If Bradley ever loses him, they'll have a tough time replacing him.

Coach Wardle isn't the first or the last college basketball coach to act the way he does. He isn't without some overall fairly minor controversy (from his days at Green Bay and the issue with Dave Reynolds a few years back).

Personally I wish he would tone it down a little, but you can't really argue with the success he has brought to Bradley. I think he just expects a lot out of his players, and I think for the talent level he gets a lot out of them.

This pathetic idiot sportswriter who ripped Coach Wardle, Greg Doyel of the Indianapolis Star, embarrassed himself again today. Caitlin Clark was drafted by the Indianapolis Fever of the WNBA, and they held a press conference earlier today to introduce her.
Gregg Doyel had this cringeworthy exchange with her- https://twitter.com/JackMacCFB/status/1780658279565213892

That was followed by innumerable attacks on Doyel for such oafish and unprofessional behavior-

And tonight, even Doyel himself is forced to write a mea culpa article and finally admit what an ass he is, and try to pretend he's not the complete putz everyone can see he is-

He is such a tool, and hopefully they can him for this.

What a clown. I had to read the article to fully understand what was going on. That was awkward and creepy. Like some cheap pick-up line.

I hate this. I hate how certain people within the Valley try to portray this person or that school as <insert negative trait here>. So many times do I hear Bradley or people associated with Bradley as some villain they've concocted in their head. "Oh Bradley hates us, they are always mean to us when they come here". Not just Bradley, I've heard this occasionally about every school in the Valley. "I really hate the fans from Drake, every time we play them they show up and...." blah blah blah.

The only negativity or bullying I've ever seen around the Valley has always been from the individual spewing accusations. And in this instance, that person would be Gregg Doyel. But even with his slinging of accusations, I don't hate Gregg. I don't even dislike him. But I hate how he's doing the Valley a huge disservice. And I hate how anyone who spews allegations like this is also doing the Valley a huge disservice.

As a Bradley fan, I am so proud of all of the teams in the Valley who represent us during the postseason. I genuinely love to see Indiana State get ranked and talked about most of the season. I genuinely love seeing Loyola have huge postseason success, and absolutely hate it when they leave the conference because they represented the Valley successfully. I genuinely love all of the fans, for every team, because they are the ones who ultimately are the reason schools have sports programs.

So Gregg, despite your childish antics and disservice to the Valley, I don't hate you. I don't dislike you. But I do think you can do better. I think you're a capable individual at understanding the current state of college athletics and the challenges that lie ahead for mid majors like Indiana State and Bradley University. I think that you're qualified enough in your position to come to the same conclusion I have. Indiana State's success is Bradley's success. Bradley's success is Indiana State's success. Tearing either of them down hurts the team we root for.

Do better.

What a tool. So what I took from his article is that it’s ok and he will continue to be an ass to men, because he’s simply talking to them as people. And that’s how people communicate. But he needs to be respectful when he talks to a woman.
