By the way, one more question....
Let's say September comes and ISU still has a need for one more game.....
Why not take the guarantee game (probably $50,000) at Vandy?
It would be a natural!!!

About ten minutes after the ink was dry from the contract, you'd be starting a thread on how ISU whored themselves out to the BCS teams.

What??????
Absolutely not...I have been very consistent in saying ALL the MVC teams need to shoot for the top level of competition at all times, even if it means giving a 2 for 1 or a road only to play a top BCS school.

I wouldn't want BU to go to Southern Miss without a home and home, BUT...
I was very positive in saying ISU's appearance at Cincy last year was outstanding even if they didn't get a return.

And I was ecstatic about BU playing Iowa State even though two of the games (out of three) are essentially home games for Iowa State.

Go back and read any post of mine on the subject of scheduling.
you'll see I have been 100% consistent in condemning the MVC getting cupcake opponents and non-D-I's, and 100% in favor of going out and getting the Gary Williams' of the BCS's to play us any time anywhere!!

No - no guys.

Just kidding.

I agree with you guys too.

let's not go too far  i not afraid to tackle t head on or give him credit when its due. he is still my hero in the jim les aspect. he was dead on right and never backed down. 8)

This upcoming season BU will have both DePaul and Iowa State.

In 2003-2004, BU had DePaul and UNLV on their schedule, but UNLV is really not from a BCS conference.

In 1999-2000 BU had Illinois and then Auburn and Villanova in tournaments, but not as scheduled games.

But you have to actually go all the way back to 1998-1999 when Bradley had Illinois, Michigan, and Penn State as scheduled opponents, to find a year that the Braves had MORE THAN ONE scheduled BCS opponent.

I applaud KK and JL for upgrading the schedule, and I don't want to go back to the years when Georgia State was a highlight in our nonconference season.

As long as Tom Richardson is an Assistant Coach at Vandy, a game vs. ISU is very unlikely.
