Bears - Seahawks What nobody's Talking About

While angst in Bear-land continues over Coach Lovie's decision to not kick a field goal toward the end of the first half, and the usual discussion of the offensive line, nobody is talking about some serious issues with this Bear team:

1. What happened to the old Matt Forte? I know he's been nicked up (ankle), but even before that he was averaging less than 3 yards per carry. Cutler and Marshall can hook up all they want, but it's moot if there isn't a viable second option on the offense. Forte looks slow and indecisive.

2. The Bear DTs disappear for games at a time. Henry Melton and company get sacks against weaker teams and then don't show up quarter after quarter with games on the line.

3. Who's the "sam" linebacker on this team? Oh! Nick Roach! occassionally make a play, dude.

Bottom line is that while everyone fixates on the O-line (which played reasonably well Sunday), Cutler and coaching, this team has proven itself unworthy of championship consideration with its suddenly old defense and one dimensional offense.

Seattle scored the go shead touchdown in the last minute of regulation because 2 of the 3 Bears in on the play tried to grab the ball instead of making the tackle. Play football, tackle the ball carrier.

Unfortunately you are right Chico. What a shame that some of the Bears players on the defensive line forgot simple fundamentals!
