Here's another guy ranking the best pizza joints in Chicago

no mention of Malnati's so I think the guy has been shut in too much...
Anyway - Here's my ranking of
THE BEST PIZZA JOINTS IN THE PEORIA AREA
Purely my own subjective opinion, and I sure haven't been everywhere so I know have missed some really good ones...
...and I know it won't jive with everyone else- but let me know where you disagree...
10- I have had pizza from a place on Bloomington Road in East Peoria called
"The Brick Oven" and I know Da Coach really likes them.
I liked the pizza but even their large was only about 12" diameter and was over $20 - so I would have to get 2 or 3 for even a medium-sized gathering or family, and by then you're into this venture $50-60 and, well, I do want to have something left for retirement.
9- Now we're down to the also rans - and since I really have never been a huge fan of Agatucci's despite their popularity, I will go with a tie between two...
So...
Pizza Hut for #9...but it was close- I coulda named
Crust Pizza - a new place in the Levee District in EP, lots of choices smorgasboard-style and you can always find something you like
8-
Avanti's - can't go wrong- they've been doing it right for decades.
7-
Davis Brothers- ok call me strange but I like Davis Brothers pizza. I don't particularly like going to their dingy old diner-style restaurant but we do anyway for the pizza.
6-
Papa Murphy's - yes, I know they don't cook pizza, they build it for you and you carry out - but for the $$ they really load up with great ingredients and then you go home & cook it yourself -
The mix of really good pizza plus fair prices keeps these guys high on my list.
5-
Monical's - I happen to love the thin crust & their brand of Italian sausage...
4-
Red Rock Bar & Grill in Morton - mostly a sport-bar-type place - everyone heads there after a Morton FB game..but they have a great old-fashioned brick oven and do pizza right, and proprietors Bill & Kristy Ingold really care about customers & she's Aaron Zobrist & Ben Zobrist's cousin!
3-
Brienzo's - a fairly new place in Junction City - build-your-own type of menu...really good!! Say hi to Knute, he's a really great guy and wants every customer to be 100% satisfied.

2-
Aurelios - really good but perhaps the most hi-priced in our area.
You end up paying almost $30 for a large pizza... but I didn't complain because it was pretty darned good.

1-
Knuckles - on Knoxville in Dunlap (near the Wheels of Time Museum) - I have had their pizza a couple times & really love it - wish I lived closer!!
(ps- they have decent online coupons so print them off to save a few bucks before you go)
