NBADraftNet posted this article listing the top returning players in Div I at each position. The selections are dominated by players from the high-major schools.
There is one MVC player mentioned, Eric Coleman is an honorable mention among centers. It suggests this writer thinks he is better than Falker at the center position.

I want Ruffin to eat Neitzel for breakfast when Mich. State comes to Peoria.

Neitzel has 2" and about 20 lbs. on Ruffin and is really good. In last years' game Neitzel was dominate.

For us to win Neitzel must have no better than a 1.5 assist to turnover ratio. Last year it was 4 against us and it is over 2 for his career.

This will be a tremendous Neitzel and MSU team.......I'm really looking forward to this game! :D

Neitzel is overshadowed by Jamar Smith.

Just kidding.

I am in contact with a big Mich St fan and he is big on this season and even bigger on next season. (that scares me... 30 pt thumping last season might be worse :-o )

'Orange Envy

'Orange Envy

No matter what happens at the poor ole U of I, they will still end up in the middle of their pack and by virtue of the perceived strength of the B10 get a top 8 NCAA seed regardless of all the boo birds and fretting from fans! Quite frankly who cares who they recruit, how much their players drink or what happens to their coaches, or whether they grant Bradley the honor to play them, or not!

What are we, all 'orange' with envy or something? After all is said and done they are usually a lock on an NCAA bid (we're not) and we just can't seem to beat them when they give us the chance! Let's fret about beating Michigan State this fall and let Illinois be!

Agreed and well said. We should focus on the Big 10 teams that matter to us ... Michigan State and Iowa.

I don't care where Neitzel compares to DRuff. I'm with Ser Solace... I really want Ruffin to just kind of have his way with him.

In this thread, all I said was Jamar Smith overshadows Neitzel.

From the link provided by Braves4Life, it said this:
"Michigan State guard Drew Neitzel was nowhere to be found on the Big Ten's 2006-07 preseason all-conference team.

Neitzel's omission was hardly an oversight. The 6-foot, 180-pounder had modest numbers as a sophomore, 8.3 points and 5.6 assists per game. Asked to be a distributor, Neitzel ranked third in the Big Ten in assists and first in assist-to-turnover ratio."

I was trying to be funny - obviously I am not funny at all.

Then he can have Eric Maynor for lunch or dinner when VCU comes to town!

Actually, I would imagine Maynor will have big-time payback in mind after what Ruff did to him last year.
