Biggest win since Pitt in '06??

What do you guys think? To me a win over a nationally ranked conference opponent, down the stretch, at their place, when we reeeeeally needed it, is bigger than a NIT win.

Interesting question...I don't know...I think its our first win vs. a ranked opponent since the Pitt victory...home or away...I do agree that its bigger than last year's NIT win...this one in STL was a pretty big win too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c00aeIzKrjg

It's a great argument, I am not sure.

I'd argue that last year's 20 point shellacking of DePaul in the opener was huge, because we unleashed a style of play unseen in the midwest by a DI team. It changed the whole philosophy of the program. Coming into that game, no one knew who would score points, and thought we'd be winning games in the 50's instead of 70's. It showed that BU wasn't going away, no matter what kind of team we had.

Last year's home last second win over SIU was pretty big as well. I believe SIU was ranked at the time (not sure though), and was one of only 3 conference losses for SIU, and 6 overall for arguably SIU's best team ever. At the time, it kept BU in at-large consideration, and ended up being our marquee win of the year.

Individually, it might be the biggest. However time will tell as to whether it has the longstanding effects to make it a truly 'big' win.

I say any game that keeps the season alive goes #1, so the NIT win is tops.

Any game that keeps us alive in a conference tourney (where a loss sends us home) is #2, so Will's MVCT winning shot is #2

IMHO the best regular season game last season was our road win at VCU, but this Drake game absolutely tops that one.

They're too different situations
then it really was win or go home
tonight it was win or go home and have LOOOOOOTS to do before the conference.

I'd put it as one of the biggest regular season wins in history.

although BU vs UNI was my favorite game when Will the Thrill got that miraculous fade away after loosing the ball...look it up on Youtube...it's worth it

I honestly think the win against Kansas in the first round was bigger than the win against Pitt in the 2nd round. Kansas was a really hot team having just won the Big 12 tourney and when I saw the draw against them on Selection Sunday, I was like "Yes, we're in." Then immediately went to "What an absolutely terrible team to draw."

Sorry guys, even though Drake has way overperformed this year and got a nice number next to their name for awhile, they're still Drake to me. It's a good win for sure, but not as impressive as either of the wins in the tournament. I've said it before, MVC conference wins against ranked opponents aren't as flashy in the eyes of others as we'd like them to be.

As for the biggest win since Pitt.......I guess it is, but I don't even come close to feeling the same way about this win as that one, not even close.

It's just nice to see that there is a debate about this. It's been awhile since Bradley racked up some impressive road and neutral site wins. It used to be all about big home wins.

If Bradley does go on to win the Valley tournament title, this Drake game would resemble the UNI game of two years ago. If they end up in the NIT, I think this game will resemble the VCU game from last year. Just my opinion.

I can't wait for St. Louis.

No it is not bigger then an ncaa win but it was nice once again to get ESPN coverage which in turn can only help with recruiting as the more tv. exposure you get the better chance you have of getting Bradleys name out there, that is why the SIU game on tues. night which is being televisied by ESPN2 is very important for us to win and give another good show on why BU is a great place to play because of the school and because we have great fans that appreciate Bradley basketball.

I agree. I didnt think we could beat Kansas but I knew we would beat PIT. The Kansas win was the best since I have been a fan (96) IMO. This Drake win was awesome but probably not in the top five since 96. Off the top of my head and these are games I attended

Beating ISU in St. Louis (Rabey Dunk Game)
Beating ISU at Home (Clancy 40 foot shot)
Beating Michigan at Home (Bayo shutting down Tractor)
Beating Creaghton in St. Louis (Cellus corner 3)
Beating SIU at home (Will Franklin last second shot over Mullins) BANK

Cellus had no business making that shot. He was almost out of bounds behind the backboard!

Right now I'll go with the biggest win of the year!

I agree with Mike.

So far this is the biggest win this year with hopefully 2-3 more bigger wins coming our way.

The better teams play their best ball in March. The question is will we?
