Bobo Drummond has asked for and recieved his release from SIU...knew this was coming

you are always ahead of the curve and we appreciate your insight - and I kinda hope he checks out the prospects of playing in front of his hometown fans!

...do you know his interest level, gerry??

I mean - if he wanted to play here it would really suck if we missed on him.
(..see, "suck" is not censored)

Bobo's size may keep some of the big schools away. But he is as good a true point guard as there is in the class of 2012. I hope we do have a shot at him.

Bradley is interested in Bobo Drummond, and he has been on campus already on his own scrimmaging with players. This is not an NCAA violation, because he was not invited and had no contact with coaches while he was under the NLI.
If Fields doesn't accept Bradley's offer, and scholarships remain available, Bobo will be making another visit soon to meet with coaches.

I wouldn't hate bringing in two point guards since they wouldn't be in the same class, and many have suggested that Bell is more of a combo guard anyway.

I agree with the Bell being a combo guard. But why wouldn't they be in the same class? I think Bobo, Bell and Fields would all be the same year eligibilty wise after Fields transfer year wouldn't they?

I'd look at Bell as a combo, not so much a point. But I've never actually seen him play, so thats just what I've heard :)

And we've definitely had worse problems than "too many point guards..."

So in the case that we get Fields and Drummond, we are passing on Stainbrook, correct? I think we need to focus on getting just 1 of these guys, unless Bobo adds some scoring punch too.

If we end up with Bobo and KB, I'd hate to see Walt playing the point for ANY time.

+1

We need outside shooters!!!!!

they all aim higher - how many times have we seen it from DeAaron Williams to Nate Minnoy to Josh Tabb to Brandon Lee to Devan Bawinkle to Nick Fruendt - and they ride the pines..

what gets me is that even the mid-level talented kids like Buovac & Brzoja - are listening to their Croatian advisors and playing the same game..
They need to pick a school based on where they'll play and what they saw & liked and lock in!

Several schools contacting Bobo Drummond. Cincinnati and Kansas State have the strongest interest.

SIU released him, but put restrictions barring transfer to other MVC schools. Bobo may appeal this unfair restriction.
