I chatted with the some players from the Drexel team this morning. They were staying in the same hotel next to Hofstra. Nice kids ... they were a bit down given the "L" Hofstra handed them.

They were excited to play at Bradley as they heard BU draws big crowds. I assured them a crowd 10,000+ going ape ****. Don't let me down!!! :D

Maybe 8,000 going APE. If we are not playing IL. ST., SIU Creighton or a good Big 10 school, we do not draw 10,000. Interesting to see what it will be Saturday. 1:00 PM tip-off against The Valley leader. Maybe 10?
The Fans on Bradley fan, know basketball,We recognize Drexel as a good program, but your average fan will not come out on a Saturday night, for Drexel.
They will stay home and Watch Americas Most Wanted, or The Olympics!.

Our average fan doesnt even recognize us or come out for our home games ANY day of the week. Just had to throw that out there.

Drexel won this afternoon, at home, against the lowly delaware blue hens. However we will likely be on a 1 game losing streak heading into peoria as I do not see us winning @vcu.

I know I'm looking ahead a little bit, but Chris Fouch, Drexel's best shooter and 2nd leading scorer, reportedly suffered a setback in rehabbing from an injury endured a week or so ago. He is out for the VCU game on tuesday, and it's possible he could be out for an extended period of time.

"We're rehabbing him to see if he can come back," Flint said after the Dragons (15-12, 10-5 CAA) stayed in the chase for a first-round bye in the league tourney. "He won't play the next game. That would be a miracle. We're hoping this is not the end of the season for him. There's a chance it could be."

Without Fouch, this is a much more winnable game.

Sadly, I agree with you. He bring such a spark to our team, and we are very different without him. We have plenty of talent to still be good, we just have not shown it without him, since we get plenty of open looks and he is the only one who really hits with any consistency. For those who care our boards are located here http://boards.caazone.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7 has not been a ton talked about yet, but all are welcome.

just got an email of "Hilltop Happenings"

apparently there is a game Saturday against "Drexer"

r and l are not next to each other on my keyboard atleast.

Haha, it's even worse than that. They spelled it "Drexter"

"Men??™s Basketball vs. Drexter at 7:05 p.m. at Carver Arena."

I thought drexel was very simple to spell, but with these two new spellings I have seen three: Drexal, Drexer, Drexter. Oh well. Should still be a good game. Maybe you guys can teach them how to spell drexel for everyone's sake

Sorry if I start a "Drexter Sucks" chant

800 was impressive as we were buried in over 26'' of snow. Also yes we are not a great shooting team, but we have 2 that will likely give you issues in harris and fouch. Colds thinks he is better than he is, and thomas is working on his shot, both are much better slashers though. However, we have shown zero consistency on the road this year so all bets are off. We shoot very well at home though...

Edit: also I have no idea how they came up with 800 since the game was free to everyone and no tickets were scanned. It seems probably a decent estimate but have no idea how they randomly came up with it

Hey it happens....we claim about 2000K more fans then have been at the games this year due to the ALL importaint tickets sold.

Bean counters LOVE the $$$$...it matters NOT how many are actually AT the game.

dan10...thanks for the info on your team.

I'll be there DB and, well, you know I'll be "ape****-like." :) Only 9,999 to go.

VCU raped and pillaged us tonight by 19 in a game dominated through and through. Since we still suck on the road, and I can't see Fouch coming back and playing his first game from his injury in a non-conference game, I give you guys the advantage now. Without him we just do not score and move the ball well at all. Goodluck Saturday.

That powerhouse InSU has THREE of its top players out and just beat us. Don't count yourself out. We disappear for importaint stretches at home.....now maybe if you were ranked we'd have something to play for....what HALF we chose to play would be the deciding factor though.

Well lucky for you guys it doesn't make much of a difference. We do not score. period. We will go on stretches of 7+ minutes without baskets, and that is normal. Oh, and the beginning of each half we tend to be at our worst. We play slow and ugly. That is why we were excited when we recruited a shooter in Fouch, and he was out all of last year with his knee injury and when he got comfortable on his knee and was playing at a high level, so was this team. He gets hurt and we have now dropped 2 of 3. He bring a level of excitement to the team and changes the defensive approach. When he is not in we are extremely predictable, or at least in conference. We have heard a rumor that he will be back for our conference tournament, but doubt he will play in this one. Also, have I mentioned that we become 10x worse when we leave philly? I would go at this moment with:

DU-57
BU-65

You know every time I read your posts updating Drexel I can't believe how similar these teams sound. Ups and downs, hot and cold, long stretches without scoring, injuries to key players, overall disappointment.
