Pretty decent game overall. I say a pretty big crowd considering on a Sunday afternoon with the Bears on tv. Student section was pretty loud once again.

JC was a ton 29 pts 7-12 on 3's
Andrews with 25 and at least 10-12 boards
Franklin with 16 points and prolly 3 3's

need to get some production from other people. Sally was a non factor as was JJ after his career high with 0 pts tonight.

Our defense wasnt bad, UIC just shot lights out. We tried to switch to a zone for a while but that was just even worse it seemed like.

Coulda rebounded better

Refs were pretty poor tonight as well.

A lot of dunks by ZA and a lot of 3's by JC made for a good game for fans to see

Fun game to attend today.........it was more of a game than the score would indicate! :-o 12 threes for the Braves and by the way.......according to Snell....ZA with 15 boards!

Zach is really coming along. Did any one else see him working on his free throw stroke while they were working on the shot clock at the start of the second half. He also is an animal on the glass and his moves around the rim with the ball seem to improve by the game. WOW! I knew he would be good but this is immpresive. Will, JC, AW nice game.

I believe Zach had 26 points and 15 rebounds, Jeremy Crouch had 29 points with 7-12 on 3-pointers.
Zach had 15 pts, 7 rebs at halftime, so he was pretty consistent thru the game.
Zach was 5-7 on FTs in the 2nd half, so he is building confidence.
JJ Tauai played his usual fine defense that doesn't always show up in the stats.
JJ held the Flames' top player (Othyus Jeffers) to only 2 first half points, and some of that defense forced the Flames' guards to start pumping up 25-30 foot shots. Maybe they can hit those once in a while, but those are the shots you want them taking as you know they won't keep falling.
Bradley's quickness is going to trouble a lot of defenses this season.

The Braves passing is greatly improved over last year, and it was pretty good last year. They moved the ball very quickly and well today, maybe better than I have seen them. It lead to a bunch of easy inside points and fouls.

This team is very well prepared and very well coached.

If the scoreboard was correct, Crouch had 29, Zach 26, and Will 16 which accounts for 71 of our 81 points. Good for those guys, but a little troublesome for me. Also, I thought we played out of control at times and had too many turnovers. And Zach has to do better at the line. When he misses he has more arc, the shot is long, and maybe to the right. There was one exception in this game where he was short. Normally when he has the right arc, it goes in.

Anybody know why Sam Singh didn't get any minutes?

My first mention of refs this year, bad, very bad.

Spoke briefly with Jason Faulknor. I think he said he's waiting to hear from teams in Germany and the Neatherlands.

Another awesome performance by Jeremy. 29 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds. His scoring average is now 21.0 ppg.

Should be Player of the Week again!!

Zach's career day might put him into contention for Player of the Week, too. I think each team can nominate just 1 player, so who does Bradley nominate?

Zach's numbers this week- 8 points and 12 rebounds against SIU-E, and 26/15 against UIC.
He is averaging 15.3 ppg and 12.3 rpg. for the season.

This team just doesn't get rattled. UIC hung close with some great outside shooting, but Bradley made their run and never looked back. The lack of depth and the fouls forced them to play more zone than Jim wanted.

And Tauai is such a valuable player. He handled the ball well, passed great, and defended great. But he recognized there were 3 guys with hot shooting hands, JC, Will, and Zach, and didn't try to be selfish and shoot.
There aren't many kids who could come off their career higgh, and be so unselfish. Props to JJ.

Another great effort by the Braves! Hopefully Ruffin will be back in time for the Rutgers game. We'll definately need him by then!

Kudo's to JL for going Zone....someone mentioned that they didn't think the zone worked but I think it was a great adjustment by JL at the half.

Our offense was never really a problem...we just couldn't stop these guys with our quickness as we have our first two opponents.

The screen roll is going to be BU's bread n butta....don't follow ZA and he'll kill ya. Follow him and the shooter will knock it down.

Most good college teams have the majority of their scoring focused around three or four players. Just look at last year's team. If these three can keep it up we'll be awsome when Ruff get's back in the mix! :D

What did others think? I know I am a little biased toward BU, but it seemed the refs allowed constant hand-checking by UIC, but called a lot of touch-fouls on Bradley. I'm just glad it didn't make a difference in the outcome, thanks to Bradley's depth.

Another fun game to watch. I don't know how, but this team is more entertaining than last year's. They play TEAM basketball as well or better than any college team I've seen in the past few years. The coaches are doing a great job.
I like the way they mix in the zone defense. Jim Les' first 4 teams rarely used the zone, but it was effective, and they move so quick, they still don't allow any easy shots.
Bravo Braves! and another excellent coaching job!
