Bradley baseball drops a 2-0 decision to Missouri State

This drops Bradley to 10-9, still 3rd place but only one game ahead of Wichita State and only 1.5 games up on ISU - with only two games left (before the MVC Tourney), both against league leading Missouri State.

Bradley could end up anywhere from the 3rd seed to the 5th seed and face Wichita, ISU, or Evansville in the Valley Tourney next week.

BU drops to 10-10 in the MVC with one game remaining -
Wichita won so they are also 10-10 and ISU is 9-10..
Not exactly sure how the tiebreaker works - but we won 2 of 3 from Wichita but lost 2 of 3 from ISU
 
BU baseball - final regular season game - the Braves are trailing 3-0 in 4th inning..
If Bu loses to go to 10-11 they will need to wait 'til ISU & Wichita finish their games to see what seed we get in the MVC Tourney.
 
Wichita State lost to Dallas B

Bradley will either be the 3 or 4 seed, as they own the tiebreaker over the Shockers.
 
Bradley finishes 10-11 but gets the #3 seed and plays Evansville

the schedule had the toughest teams right at the end and our pitching depth ran short...
we lost the final five games and 7 of the last 10...

Time to get another streak going but the games will come in quick succession..

We start Wednesday against Evansville, then have to win Thursday, Friday, and two on Saturday...(barring rain pushing games back)
if we lose either of the first two then we'd need to win an EXTRA game on Friday tp work our way back into the Championship mix
...six games in four days...wow - but everyone else has to do it, too so Go Braves!

Bradley is playing in the opening game of the MVC tournament against Evansville (a 9am start). They are currently beating the tar out of the Aces. The Braves tacked 9 runs on the Aces starter through 3.1 innings. Currently 9-0 in the 4th.

Elliott Ashbeck went 8 innings - 2 ER
...he's our "ace" - should we have saved him? Tough call because you really want to win that first game.

Game 2 today, Indana State vs. Dallas Baptist will start at 12:30pm
 
no sooner had I said that - in the bottom of the 8th Dallas Baptist got a couple hits and men on 2nd & 3rd with two out but then Sycamores' Jeff Degano got a strikeout for out #3
...so game remains 2-0 Indiana State - one inning to go
 
In the first game Thursday, Evansville becomes the first team to depart the tourney with a 3-0 loss to Dallas Baptist

Bradley faces Indiana State at 4pm today - and if they win they advance to play the winner of Friday 9am's game between Dallas Baptist & Indiana State.

If Bradley loses this afternoon - they are still alive and face Dallas Baptist at 9am Friday, then can advance to play Indiana State again at 4pm
 
ISU loses their 2nd game 7-1 to SIU and so they are also bounced from the tourney

Bradley is currently playing Indiana State..
bottom of 6th with Bradley trailing InSU 2-0 - BU has just 2 hits thru 6 inn
