Bradley coaching staff changes

University of Cincinnati has finally announced their updated coaching staff, and it is just as we reported a month ago!
UC Men's Basketball Unveils New Staff Structure

Cincinnati head men's basketball coach Wes Miller has announced the restructuring of the program's coaching staff ahead of the 2023-24 season, his third at UC....

"I'm very excited to announce our coaching staff for the upcoming season," Miller said. "I believe our staff puts us in a great position going forward, addressing many strengths and points of emphasis. We are very pleased with the new rules that allow our program, as well as all others nationwide, to best develop players and maximize their potential. We are going to finish this summer strong and hit the ground running again in the fall for our first Big 12 season."

Associate head coach
Chad Dollar and assistant Andre Morgan return for their third seasons, while Drew Adams (previously Associate Athletics Director of Men's Basketball) joins Morgan as assistant coaches and recruiting coordinators. Josh Loeffler, hired in June after five years as Johns Hopkins' head coach, is now an assistant coach and Chief of Administrative Staff, while Jake Thelen transitions to Director of Player Development in addition to assistant coach duties following two years as the Director of Basketball Operations.

Congratulations to Coach Drew Adams!

One more thing... Today, July 1, University of Cincinnati, along with UCF and the University of Houston all became new members of the Big 12 Conference.
Nice step up for former MVC members Cincinnati (1957-1970) and Houston (1951-1959)

I was in the University of Cincinnati book store a couple of weeks ago, and they already had merchandise with the Big 12 logo for sale.

I visit Cincinnati frequently. It is a beautiful city along the Ohio River in a region with lots of hills (Cincinnati is called the City of Seven Hills, although there are actually more than seven). And the UC campus is in an old part of the city and is very pretty.
It was just reported that Evansville will play a game at Cincinnati this coming season at the end of December.

I'd like to see Bradley get a game with Cincinnati. Does the Bradley staff have any connections there? :)

It was my first time, as we were in town for a baseball tournament at the Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy. My son did enjoy the campus visit. Everything is very close together considering how big of a school it is. Bonus: we were at the sold out Elly De La Cruz "Cycle" game against the Braves.

Nice! I've been to Great American Ball Park a number of times and always enjoyed it. The crowd must have been rocking for that game. It's good to see them finally enjoying a good young team. It's been a while for Reds fans.
And, because the University is surrounded by park land, the City Zoo, and a lot of historic old homes, and has had limited ways to grow. So it's now a school of nearly 40,000 students on a campus that's only a little more than twice the size of Bradley's campus.

Also just reported, Cincinnati will be hosting another MVC team this fall. UIC will play there to open the season on November 6.

Today, the Bradley coaches page was finally updated, and as noted here 6 weeks ago, Darrell Brown, Jr. is now listed as Bradley's new Director of Player Development, and Mike Black is now listed as Assistant Coach.

Bradley is not the only MVC school to bring back one of their all time leading scorers as Director of Player Development.
Evansville just announced the hiring of D.J. Balentine as their new Director of Player Development.

Balentine is the all-time career scoring leader at Evansville with 2,464 career points. He played from 2012-2016, and lead the MVC in scoring for 3 straight seasons, something only 2 other players have done (Larry Bird & Oscar Robinson).
