Bradley completes schedule

Me either...thats why I used him..Hey, LG called us a Donkey/jacka$$ so I thought it was a fair comeback :)

It was mentioned that post season games could be played there....NIT is post season....I don't want them to even consider that. Thats been MY contention all along.

I'm willing to compromise (like I have any real say :)) on a game played there but it can't be anything significant. Now some will rightfully argue ANY BU game is significant but certainly NOT post season or Valley games.

If its EIEIO, like I said, I'm not worried about WHERE its played but we all should worry that it IS being played in the first place.

While the press release did state "all campus-site postseason tournament games" would be played at the new arena, I have learned that the NIT was not intended to be included in that statement, circumstantially. Depending on the team and arena availability, the PCC option would remain open. They were just trying to simply the release. I would expect the communication coming forward to be clearer.

The NIT is the MAIN post season tourney. How in the world would you release such info and be talking about EIEIO tournamnets only.

Sorry not buying it. Maybe just maybe they are hearing the voices of reason......I find it hard to believe they would make such a grave error in judgement to release such a plan and now say......"just kidding."

But either way it solidifies the case for those against the idea....wether it was a mistake by BU or more a case of upon further review like Wessler said....not ALL fresh ideas are good ones (or something to that effect).

In the interest of moving on I'll give em the benefit of the doubt and say the end result is the most importaint fact......

I tend to think the NCAA is:lol: I kid. . .I kid. . .

It was probably a simple mis-calculation by the administration or athletic department that it would go un-noticed. It also could have been a simple clerical error. It's also possible that since the NIT final rounds are played on a neutral site, that they didn't consider it fully "campus-site."

BU is no dumb business (and I question that as much as anyone else some times) and if the opportunity presented itself, arrangements would be made to play a higher-profile NIT game at PCC. The problem is, those types of opportunities are going to be increasingly rare.

If you don't like my passion for BU or anyone elses then why argue/discuss this with me or anyone else? You can easily igore what I post.

"Loudest...most extreme"......according to whom? What makes my opine any louder then yours or what makes it more extreme....no really. Is it becuase my view differs from yours.

Figures...what figures? The people you quote told us in no uncertain terms that NO ONE knows any numbers so we should just wait until we know more....yet some keep tossing out figures to support their side.

And if numbers ARE allowed (I'll differ to you as far as the rules here) Shaunguth's numbers are all I need.

As far as me repeating things over and over...well, there you go again. Quoting Tornado and squirrel who have been as passionate and outspoken about how THEY feel yet, since my view differs from yours, I'M the one that goes on and on. Classic.

It takes TWO to tango and I only have one screen name so I know I ain't discusing this with myself.

And again...if you REALLY read what I have wrote I have said that I am open to a game being played at the mens practice facility.....NO one is right or wrong about how they feel towards this issue and we may NEVER really be able to declare a winner. So again I ask...whos the hardliner and who is open minded here?

My issue has been from what Dr. Cross first claimed could happen. Specifically POST season games being played at a 4200 seat mens practice facility. THAT is my MAIN issue and I care because it would be foolish and HURT the program I have supported for 25 years.

Dog, I think we know the type of person we are dealing with here:roll: Remember way back when, on the play grounds when there would be a sand lot base ball game:?: There was always the kid who had the best ball and bat:!: And if he didn't like the team he was picked on or was chose last, he would pick up his ball, bat and go home:roll: But just after reaching the point where he thought no one could possibly catch him, he would stick out his tongue, point his middle finger up at us and say you can't catch me. Well, he always got cought and got a butt whipping:D The problem was he was not smart enough or liked getting his butt beet because he did it over and over again:roll: But he was smart enough to not call any one a name, because he did not get his way:lol:

All BS aside, I didn't care for T's #'s and his logic on season tickets, squirrel's examples and comparisons and BNC's statement about the team playing without me:( (Hell I know 1 monkey won't stop no show) but they never called us ass's (maybe think so) and like wise for what LG calls the other side (Us I guess):!: I respect their opinions, as we all want whats best in BU BB and their fans:!:

Great post OOB. . .we all can agree to disagree.

I read a book and in the acknowledgments the author thanked all the people he had "ever argued with and allowed me to see all the sides to an argument. . .just remember you're all wrong!"

Let's hope the only thing we have to argue about is this during what hopefully will be a championship season!

You're not an ass OoB. Go BU.

I think this topic has run its course.

I've repeatedly mentioned this. The Presbyterian game's actual attendance last year was about 4800. The walkup was 185.

That game fits the mold that would be an additional game played at the new arena.

If said game were to be played in the arena this year off the season ticket package, you would have fewer than 500 pre-sold tickets. And it's doubtful such a game would sell out, either.

So the likelihood of being shutout is being greatly exaggerated. I agree with those concerned, as I actually shared many of those same concerns. But after hearing people in athletics break the numbers down...it's nothing to get worked up about. And I have heard JL is concerned that the atmosphere for the arena might be "too good" and impact the team when the atmosphere gets dead at Carver.

If we all believe that last sentence will you tell us another one? Nice try.

Found this blurb about Loyola Marymount in an Insider article from ESPN.com. Seems that Doug Gottlieb thinks LMU is one of the top teams this year outside of Dick Vitale's top 40.

Loyola Marymount: Drew Viney might be the best scorer in the WCC, and with his whole crew back, LMU is shooting for second place behind Gonzaga. Head coach Max Good gets his teams to play very hard, and their veteran transfers and excellent depth should translate to plenty of wins. Keep in mind, this is a team that knocked off both USC and Notre Dame on the road last season.

In addition, he picks Wichita State as another sleeper in the mold of UNI last year.

Wichita State: Gregg Marshall finally has what he had at Winthrop: experience, depth, talent and his type of interchangeable parts. Toure' Murry can beat you off the catch or the bounce and the Shockers have size with Garrett Stutz and J.T. Durley. I wrote this piece last preseason and gave the big boys a fair warning about Northern Iowa. Kansas saw how that turned out. Fellow Valley member Wichita State has the same potential.
