That all makes sense, thank you! I just find it hard to imagine them granting 4 years to a 23 yo![]()
That age factor will be the one thing that could be an issue with the NCAA. Hope not.

Am I crazy to think that georgi will be our leading scorer for next year? Either him or trevon.
I see timo and dietrich taking steps next forward year too but dont see them as the leading scorers.
Interesting question. Coach Wardle had hinted at a much larger role for DJ Richardson, so he's an underdog and may be in line for most improved player next year.Am I crazy to think that georgi will be our leading scorer for next year? Either him or trevon.

I guess once on the team you can stay there as you age? I think this is a loose rec league and not governed by national team age restrictions.I thought he was 22/23-how is he playing for the U19 team ?
I don't know about this specific league. But I do know there are a couple European and worldwide leagues that allow you to have some exceptions to the age limit on a team.I thought he was 22/23-how is he playing for the U19 team ?
yeah- you're probably right... but in the end, I really don't care, I just like what I am seeing on Georgi - every game getting better and better - hitting 20 every game and exploding for 33 & 34 in the crucial games as the season winds to an end.I don't know about this specific league. But I do know there are a couple European and worldwide leagues that allow you to have some exceptions to the age limit on a team.
For example, in the Olympics, the men's soccer event is a U23 event. However, each team is permitted three exceptions to give roster spots to individuals of any age.

That Drake guy sure stayed a long time. I think he was even drawing Social SecurityCoaching staff seems very high on Georgi, likely he will start and play a ton this year for us. Hoping for more than one year of eligibility for him, but he could definitely be a one and done in college due to the eligibility/age issue.
Do you know if they are on ESPN plusThe Bulgarian NBL playoffs begin later this week,
Georgi Gerganov's team, 5th seed Botev (16-14) plays 4th seed Lokomotiv (19-11) on Thursday April 30
It appears to be a 3-game quarterfinal series with game two set for next Saturday May 2.
These two teams played three times during the regular season with Botev winning 2 of 3 and Georgi playing very well each time.
11/9/2025 Botev won 79-73, Georgi had 27 pts, 4 reb, 7 asst
1/18/2026 Lokomotiv won 105-87, Georgi had 12 pts, 4 reb, 12 asst
3/29/2026 Botev won 98-90, Georgi had 24 pts, 4 reb, 8 asst
This is Botev's 1st season in the Bulgarian top pro league, NBL. They were "promoted" just this year from the 2nd tier BBL.
However, Georgi did play with a different team in the NBL each of the last two years, and was a sub who scored only 6 ppg, 2 reb, 2 asst,
so he has made an enormous jump this season to 22 ppg, 5 reb and 6 asst shooting 36% from 3-pt.
ok thanks. I appreciate itI seached all over and only found a couple of subscription Youtube channels that carry the Bulgarian games.
The link for one of them is ---> HERE
There are some "pirate" sites that sometimes stream the Euro games, but their schedules are iffy and generally not posted until the day of the games,
but I will prob check later this week.
Thank youThis appears to be a subscription YouTube channel for the Bulgarian NBL Playoffs.
