Bradley gets commitment from Bulgarian point guard Georgi Gerganov

Am I crazy to think that georgi will be our leading scorer for next year? Either him or trevon.

I see timo and dietrich taking steps next forward year too but dont see them as the leading scorers.

Could be. Bradley could have 4 or 5 guys all averaging 9-10+ points per game.

Interesting question. Coach Wardle had hinted at a much larger role for DJ Richardson, so he's an underdog and may be in line for most improved player next year.

On his day off, Georgi Gerganov stayed quite busy....

He took a break from his Bulgarian team, Botev, and competed for his Bulgarian U19 League team CSKA Sofia and
won the 2025-26 Bulgarian Basketball Federation (BFB) U19 Cup
Georgia scored 21 pts and don't ask me how he still qualifies if this is really a U19 team.

Also- another nice writeup for Georgi- he was named PLAYER OF THE WEEK again

Coaching staff seems very high on Georgi, likely he will start and play a ton this year for us. Hoping for more than one year of eligibility for him, but he could definitely be a one and done in college due to the eligibility/age issue.

I thought he was 22/23-how is he playing for the U19 team ?
I guess once on the team you can stay there as you age? I think this is a loose rec league and not governed by national team age restrictions.
The proof of that is that many of the other players noted in that article are WAY older than 19 years old

search and find some of the other players listed and several are 21-22 years old or more - one is 28 years old

The team that they beat, Minyor 2015 has Danya Kingsby - who is 26 y/o
The team that finished 3rd place Cherno More Ticha has numerous guys who are 25-30 y/o - LINK

I don't know about this specific league. But I do know there are a couple European and worldwide leagues that allow you to have some exceptions to the age limit on a team.

For example, in the Olympics, the men's soccer event is a U23 event. However, each team is permitted three exceptions to give roster spots to individuals of any age.

yeah- you're probably right... but in the end, I really don't care, I just like what I am seeing on Georgi - every game getting better and better - hitting 20 every game and exploding for 33 & 34 in the crucial games as the season winds to an end.
I hope he has a great playoff run and lifts his team to the championship.

Georgi's game today starts at 11:30am Central Time. I cannot currently find a free link to streaming.
Here is a subscription streaming site if anyone wants to give it a try-- LINK

But, here is a full game video of the last time these two teams played about 3 weeks ago - Georgi is #77 in green - LINK

as for why he wears #77, I posted his answer here- LINK
Plus, here's a couple photos of Georgi from his game Thursday vs Minyor (click on photo to enlarge)

That Drake guy sure stayed a long time. I think he was even drawing Social Security

Botev loses by 7.
Georgi had 14 pts, 3 rebounds, 7 asst - he also had 4 steals and one blocked shot.

When all the games are completed today, the playoff schedule should be available.
Botev finishes in 5th place & will be the 5-seed, but I am not sure if the playoffs are tournament schedule or as they do often internationally, possibly group stage then knockout.

The Bulgarian NBL playoffs begin later this week,
Georgi Gerganov's team, 5th seed Botev (16-14) plays 4th seed Lokomotiv (19-11) on Thursday April 30
It appears to be a 3-game quarterfinal series with game two set for next Saturday May 2.

These two teams played three times during the regular season with Botev winning 2 of 3 and Georgi playing very well each time.
11/9/2025 Botev won 79-73, Georgi had 27 pts, 4 reb, 7 asst
1/18/2026 Lokomotiv won 105-87, Georgi had 12 pts, 4 reb, 12 asst
3/29/2026 Botev won 98-90, Georgi had 24 pts, 4 reb, 8 asst

This is Botev's 1st season in the Bulgarian top pro league, NBL. They were "promoted" just this year from the 2nd tier BBL.
However, Georgi did play with a different team in the NBL each of the last two years, and was a sub who scored only 6 ppg, 2 reb, 2 asst,
so he has made an enormous jump this season to 22 ppg, 5 reb and 6 asst shooting 36% from 3-pt.

Do you know if they are on ESPN plus

I seached all over and only found a couple of subscription Youtube channels that carry the Bulgarian games.
The link for one of them is ---> HERE
There are some "pirate" sites that sometimes stream the Euro games, but their schedules are iffy and generally not posted until the day of the games,
but I will prob check later this week.
