This is a tremendous honor for Hersey Hawkins and for Bradley University.
The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame today named Hersey Hawkins to their 2021 Class of inductees.-

Hersey is one of 8 inductees in the class of 2021, and one of only 6 players (the other two are former coaches). Hersey is the only player from a non-major college. The other five [Len Bias (Maryland), David Greenwood (UCLA), Jim Jackson (Ohio State), Antawn Jamison (North Carolina) and Paul Pierce (Kansas)] are all from Power 5 conferences.

The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame is located in Kansas City, Missouri, and was founded in 2006. Larry Bird and Oscar Robertson were members of the initial 2006 class of the NCBHOF.
Hawkins is the first Brave to enter the Hall of Fame and is the first Missouri Valley Conference player to earn the honor since Xavier McDaniel in 2013.

Congratulations to Hersey!

Congrats to the Hawk.....he deserves any and all accolades that come his way! The best college player I ever saw, especially @ 6'3".

Well deserved honor, amazing college player, very underrated NBA player, and a great guy. When he was a student, you saw him in classes and around socially like any other student in a smallish liberal arts school. Always seemed humble and friendly.
