Just got an e-mail from the BU Athletics department...

Bradley Athletics will be sponsoring a gamewatch party at the Michael Student Center starting at 6:30pm on Friday!

Dear Bradley students,

You are all invited to watch the Bradley Braves defeat the Tulsa Golden
Hurricane for the championship of the CBI Tournament on Friday night,
April 4.

The basketball game will be broadcast live at the Michel Student Center
Ballroom and Lydia's Lounge in University Hall at 7 p.m.

The festivities begin at both locations at 6:30 p.m. with pizza and
refreshments being served during the game. A pep rally with members of
the Bradley Pep Band and cheerleaders will be held before the game at
the Student Center Ballroom.

Come to the game night right here on campus, wear red, bring your spirit
and cheer on your Bradley Braves basketball team.

Go Braves!

Joanne K. Glasser

So no mention of others being invited, but I dont know why we would turn you away?

So I'm assuming the student can go to the U-Hall to watch the game and anyone else can go to the Student Center to watch the game.

(Major Question...will the student center party serve adult beverages?)

HA

jglasser and alcohol are not very good friends...in fact i'd put them as being...well...enemies

sooo no

They had a watching party in Olin 168 previously, did they not, in which NO alcohol was plastered EVERYWHERE. (PS- I think it is dumb to not allow alcohol to those of age who may be walking from their homes...)

The letter was to the students so I would have to say that it is not for everyone which is why no alcohol would be allowed; I don"t think you need alcohol to have a good time.

As much I love a cold brew, I think it would be silly for BU to serve alcohol at any sort of party to watch a game just because I'm sure there are all sorts of legality and liability issues.

The only times I remember BU serving alcohol to students during my time here was the viewing party for the Sweet 16 at the field house (which was open to the general public) and I think the pre-game party before last year's NIT against Providence (which I believe was also open to the public).

Gone are the days of grabbing a cold one at the student center before going to a late afternoon Wednesday class.:(
