DC will start next year..JL will give him every opportunity to win and keep the starting job.

Singh is a given...he will give us all he has and has many "intangibles". I don't think he has near the upside as Collins but both are Seniors so that "upside" most develop or blossom quickly.

Thompson will NOT start IMO. JL will ease him in slowly IMO. It will be fun to watch him develop but I just can't see him starting as a freshman. The QB theory was dead on....

We will probably see alot of Center by committee next year. Get 20 and 10 from 3 guys with 15 fouls to give.

OK, there buddy, theres 9 votes for SS, but its not as you say (for the best POST player) its who will be the best BIG Man? Read the thread ?! I gave reasons for Sam as being the best BIG Man because of all I said he brings to the team. (player, teamwork, work ethic, system knowledge and leadership!) Best BIG Man!

You got me thinking and I can not recall, has JL ever "eased" anyone into the starting lineup? Not saying it is a bad strategy, seems to be a great idea.
As far as I recall, the most overall talented 5 generally start all year (except due to injury). Yes, JJ became a starter during in the S16 year, but he was not a new guy and had been a starter in previous years (when he perhaps needed to be "eased" instead of baptism by fire)

When It's Boogie Time makes the statement "It's not a secret that the inside game has been a problem the last two years", I actually thought this thread was about the best BIG Man IN The Post. ;)

IIRC, POB was a starter from the get-go. I believe Thompson will be on the floor to start in the opener.
 
The only thing that surprises me about this poll is that 3 people at this time have voted for Egolff. I still think he has great potential. But I don't consider him a post player or really even a big man.I know he's 6'9" but he is a 3 not a 5 or even a 4 as far as I'm concerned.

would you have considered salley a big man at the beginning of last year or even the year before? he played the 3 position at his junior college. just a thought....

you must have meant "big man" when you said....

"No one said he would be the best but right now he is the most experenced and most consistent post player we have."

i don't mean for you to get all upset but i'm just trying to figure out what your saying. you've said both "big man" and "post player". what's the difference?
