Bradley beat Drake 1-0 tonight.
Bradley is now 2-0-2 in the MVC, and 9-4-3 overall, and Drake, which had been the leader of the MVC, falls to 2-1-1, and 9-4-3 overall.
The only goal of the game was scored by Bradley's Drew DeGurian.
it was a pretty exciting game towards the end. drake brought a lot of pressure in the last 10 minutes or so and nearly scored a few times. great goaltending combined with some being in the right place at the right time equalled a nice win over a very good mvc team.
Pretty good crowd despite chilly weather, nearly 1000
BU also had a couple near-misses with Cutshaw's blast off the post and another miss on a break away.
Drake is a pretty offensive minded team, and I think they had only been shut out once previously this season.
Bradley plays another home game at Shea Stadium tonight against non-conference opponent Central Arkansas. The game starts at 5:30 pm.
Tonight's game is being promoted as a "Ghost Out"--
??? Bradley will be sponsoring its first-ever ???Ghost Out??? when the Braves host Central Arkansas Monday evening at Shea Stadium.
??? Bradley is encouraging its fans to attend Monday??™s 5:30 p.m. game at Shea Stadium wearing their Halloween costumes.
??? The athletic department will distribute free T-shirts to everyone in attendance and trick-or-treat bags to kids.
??? Pregame activities will begin at 4 p.m. Monday with face painting, hair braiding and appearances by Dora, Tigger, Sponge Bob, Elmo and Balloon Man.

i think the shot you are talking about was by Grant Campbell. i may be wrong though. i saw it and it was pretty impressive. probably 6 or 7 yards outside the penalty box and just rocketed off the upper right posts.
SMU is ranked between #4 and #7 in the various college soccer polls.
If Bradley doesn't win this game, they may need to win the MVC tournament to get into the NCAA. A win at SMU would likely get them into the NCAA even if they do not win the MVC automatic bid.
