Next game- East Tennessee State University at Bradley on Saturday, 11/29, at 7:05 pm.
Bradley will be returning Thursday afternoon to Peoria from their trip to Fort Myers, Florida, with a 3-2 record. ETSU is also 3-2, they are located in Cookeville, Tennessee, and are coached by Murry Bartow.

Bradley will be without their top returning scorer, Andrew Warren. ETSU has aslo had recent injury problems. Their freshman center, Seth Coy, a 6-11 center who played on the same high school team as Tyler Zeller (who was once a Bradley recruit and is now at North Carolina), is out 6-8 weeks with a stress fracture. A couple other players are also injured.-

ETSU fan message board-

Here's the thread the ETSU people already have going about the Bradley game
http://ncaabbs.com/showthread.php?tid=330938

their folks do a decent job with the message board, except for the fact that their smack board is the one right on top of the list of forums, as if that's the one they want to steer you to first!

BTW, ETSU's 6-11 center (a high school teammate of Tyler Zeller) just developed a stress fracture and in out for 6-8 weeks...and one other good inside post player has knee trouble and is limited.

also, Bradley has a "Knuckles", as that's sam Maniscalco's nickname...
But-- ETSU had a kid named Nuckles...

mmm I'm on the edge, but I think Bradley will get by on this one.

I say it'll be closer than what the score says...Bradley by 11 because of fouling and free throws at the end.

knock on wood

I agree with Bradleyguy 10. Hoping Bradley can build off the positives and feed off a home crowd a bit to pull out a win.

Apparently some of their fans were taking this game as an automatic loss before the season started, after our performance against FGCU there are some that think they have a good chance of knocking us off at home. I think we take care of business at home and the momentum we gained beating Richmond will translate over.

I look for a sluggish 1st half (Have you ever seen a good half of basketball right after a big Thanksgiving meal? I haven't!), followed by a much better 2nd half. I see BU winning ugly, but winning.

I hope they give us a good fight and we make some big plays to pull it out. We are going to need all the confidence from a tough home win that we can get for the MSU game, which is next on our slate.

We'll see what team we really have. I think we will pull this one out in a tight game because we always need to make it interesting for some reason. I expect to see DC play because he seems to play better at home then on the road.

I had a teamate in HS who was all world at home and for some reason when we were on the road he just never showed up. We never could understand what happened just like we'll never understand DC.

I can assure you that we are not taking this game lightly. Winning on the road in college basketball is difficult; winning at Bradley is extremely difficult. I think our winning percentage at home is around 75%. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys were around 80%+.

I know our players don't get much love, but we have some players that are big time. I think you'll be impressed with our tandem of Tiggs and Pigram. Pigram was invited this summer by the Charlotte Bobcats for a workout. Tiggs was the juco POY in 07.

I fully expect a great college basketball game Saturday night. I wish I could be there for some free beer.

By the way, will this game be video streamed, and if so, is the link on your athletics website?

Bradley fans are well educated and know about Pigram and Tiggs.
Pigram is impressive.
One clarification-
Kevin Tiggs was the Division II Player of the Year in 2007, Jamarcus Ellis of Chipola, who went to Indiana, was the D1 POY.

Yes, there is a video stream available through BradleyBraves.com. Here is the link--

click Bradley-ETSU video ( it is currently the 3rd choice).
The video stream is premium content, and requires a subscription.

So far this season BU is only averaging 5.2 from the arc per a game....maybe some home cookin with open this # up! The surprise is BU is outrebounding its opponents and getting to the line more (thanks to TW)....right now BU has made more FTs than the opponents have attempted! :o

faithful...appreciate your coming over for some friendly banter. I take it your NOT from Kansas. They won't come back anymore. :) (inside joke)

Watching the game on video stream. You guys have beautiful facilities. I think the rims are crooked on our end:mrgreen: Pigram is ice cold.

The 1st half obviously killed us--you guys obviously had something to with that.

Best of luck the rest of the season. I hope the young man is not seriously injured.

Go Bucs.

I predicted that we'd win by 11 but it would be a closer game than that.

I was way off. We won by 13 but it should have been worse than that. This is unfortunate for us. We can never seem to get through a year with our players and injuries. A major injury for our star player AW...who knows how long he is out for...definitely not playing against MSU. Now we find a guy that can play well for us in the middle and is athletic and contributes in a way that doesn't show up in the stats and he will not play against MSU and possibly out the rest of the season. SM with his foot...how long will that linger? I'm just so tired of this kind of stuff for BU...it's really disheartening. I feel bad for JL and the team...it's almost like clock-work. We hit a little bit of a stride and right away something happens that ruins an integral part of our success.

Anthony Thompson should have gotten playing time over DC....we REALLY REALLY know what we are getting out of DC this year and we need AT and SS to step it up now immensely.

BU wins 82-69!!!

I was forced to watch the whole thing via stat-tracker while at work, but it sure looks like the Braves played pretty well. They definitely had their best shooting performance so far. 26-45 (57.8%) FG, 13-24 (54.4%) 3-PT, and 17-20 (85.0%) FT. That's some darn fine shooting.

The only bad stat I see is 17 turnovers, which is still WAY too many. But When you shoot that well, I guess the turnover don't hurt too badly.

Dodie and CR both obviously had nice games with 17 and 16 points respectively, but the performance that stands out to me is SM with 9 points, 8 assists and 0 turnovers. That's something we really needed out of him.
