The BU women forced 24 St. Louis turnovers, including 13 steals. They held their own rebounding against a bigger team, and had 16 offensive rebounds and 16 second-chance points.
BU struggled for the first 4 minutes of the 5-minute overtime period, and did not score a basket until there was 59 seconds left. But great defense held St. Louis to just 4 points in the OT period, and Bradley went 8-10 on free throws in the OT to secure the win.

Home opener Next Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Renaissance Coliseum vs. Judson University.

It was just an exhibition game, so maybe the results don't mean as much. But it appears both teams played it like a real game with some starters playing around 40 minutes, which is not commonly seen in an exhibition. Also nice to see the top two scorers were sophomores, Ellie McDermid and Mya Wardle.

I thought they played well. Mya Wardle looked good but they also have a Freshman Maya Foz that did really well until she hurt her leg. I dont think her injury will be long lasting.

A bit surprising that the Bradley women's basketball website does not have a single mention of this game- no pregame article, no recap, no stats, not even a score or a link to the stats. Nothing about the game, the players or the outcome. It's as if it never happened.
The Live Stats link I posted above (post #5) came from taking a chance and clicking on a Live Stats link for a future women's game on the St. Louis women's basketball schedule page, and that happened to reveal last night's stats.

But then, the men's website was the same. That never had a single mention of the men's exhibition game last week against St. Louis (still doesn't), no pregame article, no recap, no stats, not a single mention of the game or the score.

Wouldn't it help promote the teams if more info was provided?

Attn Dr. Reynolds -
promotion has NOT been the strong suit up there on the Hilltop - been saying that for years...
