Bradleyfans Offseason thoughts: ANDREW WARREN

I am hoping to go through the entire roster and give each player his own thread at some point throughout this offseason. I would love to get everyone's thoughts, projections, predictions for the '06-'07 Braves.

What do we know about Andrew Warren? Is he a 2? A 3? A pure shooter? How does he compare to, say...Ray Brown? Is he a potential starter? He looks frail to me. What are the plans for him in '06-'07? Thoughts...?

Andrew would not be able to play the 3 right now. He would have to play the 2 if he plays next season. He is a very good shooter, and ideally he could fill a reserve role similar to what Jamar Smith did for the Illini. We can only hope he would be able to hit some big shots like Jamar was able to do.

However, with Ray Brown and Jeremy Crouch both being similar players who didn't play much last year and look to compete for some of the available time this year, it might make more sense for AW to redshirt to get stronger. He woun't want to do that, but no kid does when they come off a very sucessful high school career as a star player.

Remember how frail Anthony Parker was as a freshman and he still contributed quite well? I hope the same for Andrew as we need him NOW.

As one of only a few here who may have seen Andrew play, I think he can be a contributor right away. He is probably the best shooter Jim Les has recruited, so far. He is a very hard worker, so even though he is thin and may have benefitted from a redshirt year, I am sure Andrew will work as hard as anyone to get into shape to play an important role next season. I see him coming off the bench and being a sparkplug like Jamar Smith was for Illinois. I am not predicting he will have all the success Jamar did, but he will get the chance to play that role.
