yet another puzzler...

James Nnaji was drafted in the NBA Draft of 2023 - 2 1/2 yrs ago... and altho his signing rights were traded around,
nobody every made an offer he felt was acceptible, so he never signed with any NBA team.
He has already played professionally for almost 3 years (G-League and overseas), and is almost 21 1/2 years old.

The NCAA just ruled him eligible with four full years of eligibility, so he has signed with Baylor and can play the rest of this season,
with three more year of eligibility.

It's only a matter of time until they let guys who are cut form their NBA team to return to college and be eligible.

lol I see this guy found his way to George Mason....watch him be player of the game against us!...I hope not.
ps..I meant for the above part of the post to be a quote..but apparently I didn't do it right...

Yeah - pretty amazing....
James Nnaji declared himself eligible last season and committed & signed with Baylor back in December 2025-
I don't think the NCAA ever ruled officially on his eligibility but he played anyway - but of course it's Baylor so they let it slide.
Can only imagine if Bradley had played a guy that wasn't cleared by NCAA...

He was pretty much a non-factor - played 18 games, was a deep sub and averaged just 1.4 ppg & 2 rpg.
THEN - a month ago he said he was going to play this year with George Mason, the team Bradley will face on November 14

George Mason signed him and put him on their roster for this summer - so I expect we'll see him.

George Mason has 17 guys on their roster - how's that??
but - a couple other names that are familiar-
Makhai Valentine played one season in the MVC with Missouri State then spent last year at NIU. One of the best games of his career came against Bradley Jan 4, 2025 when he came off the bench for just 13 minutes but hit a bunch of shots and scored 13 points, 4 reb & 2 steals to keep the game close. Then last year at NIU he had 10 pts & 6 reb against Bradley on 12/6/25.

Ryan-Preston Mendy is a cousin of former Bradley recruit Noah Mendy

and of course their Head Coach Tony Skinn who we defeated in the NIT in 2025 on their home floor in a game that Corey Thomas went for 21 pts/11 reb!- LINK
