Speaking of RPI... anybody still monitoring it after this CI.com games? Wins against opponents with good records should be giving us a little boost... For whatever that's worth.

I asked Jerry Palm about continueing the calculations into the postseason in the past. His answer is that calculations are not needed and calculated because the RPI is only a tool to be used for the Selection Process for the Tournament.

Now maybe Realtime still calculates, but I am not a subscriber to that site.

No, RealtimeRPI.com also ceased working after the games of Sunday, March 15, the last day of the regular season games.

I hope Hersey catches the Allegiant out of Mesa Wednesday morning and makes it to the game. His boy may not get much playing time, but it should be a thrill for him to just set foot on the Civic Center floor, where his dad starred and show his teammates his dad's banner hanging on the wall.

So was he overrated in high school or just a bad fit/coaching/adjustment to college?

Maybe this can be his official visit... to watch BU beat up his current/most-recent school, Pacific! :)

I've been through Stockton and there really is not much to report. The only good thing about it is that it is located between the Bay Area and the Sierra Mountains. If I was Brandon and the team had problems that were described in that article, I'd bolt also.

Really?

Really?

Is Pacific really in Stockton? I always pictured it in Washington state, kind of like Gonzaga. That changes my whole image of Pacific. I always said that Gary,Ind. was the worst place I could imagine to live. But I have never been to Stockton and I have the same image of Crime/Gangs/Violence/Urban decay. Maybe I am as wrong about Stockton as I was about where Pacific was.

Yes it is in Stockton and probably the Meth Capital of America. There is a nice area there by the river front with a few upscale neighborhoods but the rest of the area is not a place where you would want to raise your kids. It is also one of the worse places for foreclosures! The California Central Valley may be a place where a ton of agriculture products are produced but living there is not close to what the mid-west brings to the table in terms of community.

If Hawk is there- it won't be to watch his son- he is no longer with the team.. Is traveling with his brother on a spring break trip I hear...

Pacific looks a lot like us as they can struggle to score points, turn the ball over a lot and play good defense. They really don't have one player that stands out as they pretty much have a nine man rotation with no one averaging over 30 minutes a game. They have a good mixture of big and small guys but no one averages over 12 points a game and only 1 guy averages over 6 rebounds a game. Hopefully we can come close to shooting the ball like we did against Oakland and if we can play a little better defense we should win by double digits.
