Braves @ iowa state in game thread...

We need to get out of this half..isu has the momentum now, after the replay it was a bad call on WF for a charge

Wow. Matt Salley is really contributing here. I was hoping the Wright State game would be a turning point for him. Great job.

Great win for the Braves!

Matt Salley and Wil Franklin played extremely well. Too bad JC and Ruffin seemed to be in a rut. However, everyone played fantastic defense to hold the Cyclones scoring. Some key steals from JC.

When everything is firing on all cylinders, our potential is pretty darn good.

76 to 66 BRAVES! I think they led by 6 most of the game....nice efforts by MS and WF to cover for DR's off shooting night and Zachs bad fouls!

JC had @ least 3 steals though......and for short minutes AW hit a KEY 3 when the game was still in question........iowa state is 0-3 against the Big Valley this year!

Great win for the Braves! :D This could be an NCAA Tournament clinching win come Selection Sunday. Then again, we'll see what our conference record looks like at that time. :)

Anyway, I think some sort of postseason berth looks pretty good for now. Let's just get by Loyola-Chicago next. It's a home game, but certainly not a gimme by any means. A loss here would pretty much negate the strides made by today's win, so let's get back to work after enjoying the win tonight!

That's what I like about this team.....when someone has an off-night........someone else steps it up.....WF and MS today! JC was off on his shot as was DR.......and ZA had his head somwhere else.......but the others stepped it up! Great team win!

Your right....Loyola will be a tuff-game......we will need to hit on all cylinders to Win that game ...even at home.....let's get a Huge Bradley crowd for this Huge Home Game!

Has anyone seen a ball sit on the rim like Will's shot before today.....the ball was not wedged against the rim like usaul.....it just sat on the rim? :-o

Boy this is a game that would be nice to get.....build some momentum for the upcoming stretch.........LETS GO BRAVES!

I LOVE YOU MATT SALLEY

Yup--Matt had a great game.
I would love to hear what all those who criticized Matt are saying now.
There's a whole thread over on the PJS board of people saying BU wasted a scholarship on the guy,
and it just goes to show where all the uninformed posters hang out.

But didn't you notice that Iowa State spent their whole effort trying to cover Ruff and JC and it hurt them in the end because this BU team has lots of weapons. Will, Zach, and Matt simply stepped up and had fine games.

Mike, as we all have I have seen lots of times the ball gets wedged between the rim and the backboard, but I have never seen it get stuck dead-still on the back of the iron like that, and I'll bet it doesn't happen anywhere in division I any more than a couple times a year!

Too much Pine Tar?

Wrong game.

Just kidding.

I missed it - but I can imagine it - I think I have seen it once. It is a 'freak' of sorts as to how it can happen.

Mac-- one of the broadcasters, probably Doug Gottlieb, said it was because of the "new ball" they are playing with this year, and that the surface of the new ball is actually somewhat sticky.

I think his explanation is insane, since I believe it is only the NBA that is playing with a new ball this year.
