Because Devon's case got quite a bit of publicity in the Bolingbrook area, 5 people came forward and offered to donate their time to help Devon stay in shape. It appears there were no expenses.

Five individuals have stepped up to help him with weight training, skills training, sparring, and recruiting. They will help him in his path, while the school district keeps him down.

I've seen it in my gym where a personal trainer/coach will help out a promising young athlete for nothing. Our local Y has a program which will allow disadvantage HS kids to use the facility at a very reduced rate, sometimes free.
