Braves Win 80-66

A very solid all-around performance...light years ahead of Monday's! I may eat my words on Egolf- he looks like a very capable man in the middle!

Great contributions from Norris and Brown tonight off the bench.

Egolf was solid again...he just needs to avoid the silly fouls so he can stay on the floor longer.

Roberts was much better tonight.

Maniscalco played well through some obvious pain...

Singh had some good moments as well.

It was refreshing to see BU actually throw the ball in the post tonight. This has to continue if we hope to free up things for the shooters on the outside.

Nice to see some adjustments from the coaching staff over the past two games and some growth from some of our young players over the past two games...Hopefully, that is a sign of things to come...

Let's find a way to play a solid 40 minutes at home on Saturday night...

Way to go guys! Great win! It looks like that UMKC game may have been the wake up call this team needed.

This tournament has turned out to be a great success after all, at least in terms of some growing up. Egolf has developed into one of our better players, and the coaches seemed willing to shake things up in terms of personell and offensive strategy. This is something they have to keep on top of since it still will take some time for everything to gel. But I liked our tenacity the last couple of nights following that UMKC loss.

I take it Collins and McCain did not see much action again? And let's hope Sam M. can shake whatever is bothering him because we're going to need him this year!

Sam M foot scares me. These things can linger.....see AW.

Positives...WE arrival. Young guys continue to get playing time. Yet to play with AW and a healthy SM.

Did Will Egolf = Turnaround?

OR did Coach just finally figure out who his players are and what players to play together...

I am very impressed w/ Darian Norris and Taylor Brown as Freshmen...and even Edge shot the ball well these last two nights...

Great toughness by Theron these three games as well as Sammy gutting it out throughout this tournament...really gotta hand it to the birthday boy as its obvious he was really hurting down the stretch...

If it weren't for Dodie, we wouldn't have had such a great start...10 of our first 14 points I believe and played a great all-around game...

Sam Singh had a nice solid effort, which is what you would like to expect after a bad game the previous night...

And how can I forget "Mr. 2nd Half" Chris Roberts...really...just give him the ball down the stretch of a game...he proved he can hit the big shots and more than that, he will make his free throws...I mean did any of them hit the rim at all?! I thought I was watching JC form for a minute...

The backbreaker....the trey by Darian Norris w/ close to 10 min remaining in the game...Richmond was still keeping it close and had cut it back to 4 until he drilled the 3 and they would not get any closer...That kid reminds me so much of Will Franklin its scary...the best difference, we get him another 3 years :D

Lastly, I would like to give credit to Coach Les and his staff for doing what needed to be done to get this team turned around...he made adjustments and everything is paying off nicely....GREAT JOB COACH...

Oh, and before I forget....Happy Birthday Sammy Maniscalco, Happy Birthday Amber Les, and Happy Birthday Mr. Sauve Sam Singh(tomorrow)!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone...Lets get back at it Saturday night!

How long does it usually take BU-tv to get the games from Live to On Demand? I couldn't get home in time to catch tonight's game & would like to check it out.

I think Versace said it best tonight on the air about Will. He is a 5, and they tried to hard to make him into a 4. Let him play his game. He has showed exactly what he can do as such

And what did the fans learn from this week.....not to get TO low or TO high this year. We will have more bad losses and a few good wins. Lets just hope we keep getting better and learn from every game.

Don't mean TO be a jerk, but it is too high or too low, not TO. Sooo many people use "to" wrong, almost as much as there is used instead of their. However, you are very right. This is a young team, and people were panicking after the Platteville game and after UMKC, but we will go through very high and low stretches this year.

I've been away from a computer and radio for about 2-3 hours. Did I miss anything?

MM I guess you just have to miss the rest of the games!;)

DD played great on both sides of the ball. He was covering their best player for most of the game. WE played solid when he was in and the rest of the team stepped up and finished their shots around the basket. TB is Mr. Energy! Mark my word, he will be one of the great ones in the Valley by his Jr. year.

SM What guts!!!! All you haters out there owe this team an apology.

The Bandwagon is out and running and is ready to start heading on the Highway. DO not bother to get on if you're joining us now. This team will have to be reckoned with come 2nd half of the season.

Will got every chance in the world last year and he showed nothing. He got a few minutes early this year and again...nothing. Lets hope the light has been turned on. Sometimes guys just start to get it.

The backup QB is always the fan fav when the starter is struggling. Many were calling for WE when BU looked bad. EASY call. Coach Les knows what he has better then any one of us.

He has seen something from WE in practice and this was a good week to see, AGAIN, if Will made the most of his chance. Looks like he FINALLY did and lets hope it snowballs.

Nothing personal but its getting old hearing guys claim they new Will could do it. Its almost the "blind squirrel" adage. Of course he has the ability and EVENTUALLY it had to surface. Just as the blind squirrel will eventually find the nut.

Good job will and way to use him when you thought he was ready COACH LES.

Ahh what a great win. That's about as good as we played last season, with a couple more 3's added in from JC or Ruffin. I think the D was still a little slow getting out on the perimeter shots but thankfully Richmond wasn't hot. Overall, all this team needed was to shoot better and limit the turnovers and they did exactly that. I think SM's foot will be fine if he can go all out like that in 3 straight games. Give that foot 3 or 4 days break in between the rest of the games and he'll be fine. Now just need to get Warren healthy and maybe give Sticks a look or 2 Saturday. It worked switching it up with Egolf.
