Breaking news on the Bears...

I would want Harrison teaching Hester and draft picked WR...

no one has mentioned Anquan Boldin...just saying...they're looking for trades in Arizona...

Anquan Boldin is a Pro Bowler with plenty of years left that on any other team he would be the featured reciever. He seems to be bit of a prim-dona and I doubt if the Cards will let him go cheap. He is under contract for 2 more years! He may even end up staying with the Cards. I'm not sure what the Bears could offer in compensation for him????

All things equal I'd take Anquan over any of the other free agents. I also heard that the Ravens are hot after him.

Oh i dont htink its possible, but its still out there...
Everyone thought getting cutler was impossible

Holt gone
Boldin...not looking good
Harrison wants a long term contract (3 years i think...)
i dont think along term contract of a proven WR would be that bad for the bears

I have to disagree about Harrison. The Colts are one of my favorite NFL teams and while I like Harrison a lot, Harrison has had a noticable drop off in production during the past couple of years mostly due to injuries. Harrison will also be 37 years old for the upcoming season. IMO, a one or at most a two year contract for Harrison makes some sense, but nothing more.

Ditto, Beninator, on Harrison. I was a Harrison fan for a long time, but WR's don't usually age very gracefully, and I think the WR-aging process is pretty advanced in Harrison's case.

As a Cardinals fan I do not want to see Boldin moved for anything. He has two years left, I would expand his base salary and add 1 or maybe 2 years to the contract, not sure I would max him out. But I do not regardless of what is offered want to see him traded. I dont care if it is 2 number ones and a a pro bowler.

Boldin makes Fitzgerald great and is tough and is much to valuable to just unload. Everythng I read is teams desire him but the Cardinals are holding very firm to you are going to have to knock our socks off with and offer.

People think just because it is the Cardinals they will somehow just let him go. Those days are gone, this organization is not just Bill Bidwell anymore, it is ran by football guys. I love how teams(fans) think that Boldin can be had just because they are the Bears, Cowboys or Eagels etc.

He is under contract is a Cardinal and I hope no one gets him except for the Cardinals.

The Bears have a nice young QB now in Cutler, a decent running game. Cutler was a great fantasy QB and can throw it around with the best of them but what is between his ears is still a huge ?.

I think boldin, if he stays in Arizona, needs to rethink his gameplan/mentality. He and Fitzgerald together is lethal, but alone, they are just very capable number 1 recievers.

is it me or are WR very big primadonnas? They have the biggest personalities on the field, and also get the most offended by role shifts. I dont see LB's doing that!

just a thought

I agree Buconnor. I think Boldin's ego will prevent him from staying in 'Zona. I really think he wants (and needs) to be "The Man".

Come to Chicago, my friend. You'll be an All Pro and hero to millions:)

Ego aside, I dont think Boldin really has any choice in the matter of whether or not he stays in Arizona. He has 2 years remaining on a contract he signed. He can be real upset and he can demand a trade but the Cardinals control him.

He will be in Arizona UNLESS someone gives the Cardinals a deal they can not refuse.

And Boldin is not a real true deep threat, he is a slot receiver who can and does play in the back field on occasion. He is a pro bowler because is great after the catch. He though is 28, has had serious injury issues. Yes the Bears would be overjoyed to have him but unless you want to unload your draft or someone who is of equal caliber he isnt going to Chicago.

Boldin is a probowler because of Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is the best receiver in the league hands down. If Boldin somehow makes it to another team he will need another good receiver opposite of him in order to put up the same numbers. He is a great receiver, and probably a number one for most teams, but Fitzgerald has made him who he is.

What???????? Boldin was a pro bowler before Fitzgerald! Boldin is one of the best possession receivers in the game for quite some time.

Fitz is great but that greatness took center stage this last season. Boldin was and has been a very steady possession receiver for several years, including the first few of Fitz's. He is not great because of Fitz he is great because he gets single coverage because of Fitz and he again is one of the best in the league with yards after the catch.
