BU will take the win. Good job on defense and rebounding, but a bad shooting night. Need to get more consistent. Great game by Will and Taylor, and some clutch plays late by Sam and Andrew. Wofford is a good team.

Very encouraging game. Will looked very good and so did AT. Was happy to see the number of touches the bigs got this game, it seemed like it was every time down the floor in the first half, haven't seen that in a long time but it's what we'll need to be successful this season:D

I know the Braves couldn't hit a 3 or make a bunny early on but if they keep taking 10-15 foot jumpers like tonight they make themselves really tough to guard, I like the jumpers! :D

This game made me think what we could've had if we used TB along side TW last year and if we would've had a healthy WE and AW.

SM
AW
TB
TW
WE

2 guards 2 forwards and a center....would've been tough to handle. I still feel like we missed an opportunity not having TB on at the same time as TW.

We need to learn to put teams away rather than let them back in the game. Could've lost that game if it hadn't been for AW steal. Happy about the win but not happy about the fashion in which we got it. Once again questionable substitution patterns.

Though we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the first half I DID like a lot of what I saw tonight. I saw that Egolf WILL be a difference maker this year. I saw inside out play that I haven't seen in a long time. I stand corrected in my previous doubts about Taylor Brown -- He IS a player. I think I may be wrong about Sticks. He showed some good footwork and flashed some potential to be a factor by the end of the year. It seemed as if Warren began to work off the rust in the second half and can again become the player that we all remember. Sammy was Sammy -- A leader! I also liked Coach Les' substitution patterns and lineup combinations tonight.

I am now convinced that if we can build on this game and continue to show improvement from all of the players mentioned above, plus begin hitting a respectable percentage from outside that this team can definately win the MVC. I know it was ONLY Wofford, and I know they probably didn't play their best game (neither did we), but I REALLY liked a lot of what I saw tonight. :) :)

I agree and the bigs did a nice job tonight....the only problem was we stopped going to them the last 12 minutes of the game. I really like the way DSE looks inside for our big guys. He made a couple more great passes tonight.

Well, we unfortunately let Wofford back into the game in the latter part of the 2nd half.

But there were lots that was good and encouraging to take away from this game. I loved the line-up and rotation. I'm happy to see Milos getting playing time, spelling Taylor for the brief time he's resting. If Milos can contribute a bit on the points, that'd be great.

Our frontcourt played a great game. I love Egolf's mid-range jumper. We definitely missed Taylor Brown in the previous games.

The defense and rebounding were MUCH improved. Taylor helped quite a bit, but I do think the big difference was the effort the Braves made as a team. Sam Maniscalco with 7 boards!

Our 3 pt. shooting was atrocious. But I'm pretty sure that won't be the norm. At least, I'm pretty sure 2-16 3 pt shooting won't be the norm.

Just make sure we give DSE his props. He played some extremely hard minutes in the end stretch to help us get out of a rut.

After seeing the way guys were playing tonight, I think I would like to see a lineup of Edwards, Warren, Brown, Egolf, and Thompson. I think they would be very tough to guard at every position in that scenario, and I think they are going to have to go big in the two games in Vegas. I'd sure like to see how this lineup would do Tuesday as a prelude to next weekend!

I'm going to stick with my prediction that TB will make an All MVC team this year, and by his senior year may end up being POY. He just has talent!

What a rotten start by both teams and then both BU had great flashes in the second half.
Still hard for me to believe these guys were up at Pitt late in the second half
They aren't very big but they never ever quit, that's for sure.

I also thought it might have been wise for AW to dribble around instead of dunking at the end of the game stopping the clock and giving them the ball out of bounds but I know that's hard to think of when you are playing...

I can't think of too many scenarios where you will see WE and AT playing at the same time

What substitutions did you not like? I thought the rotation was fine. But I could have mis-recalled something.

I'm still admittedly upset to see EM and SM on the floor at the same time. I do not agree with having EM start. He doesn't do anything extraordinarily great at pg and he's not a scorer. SM at least can score when it's necessary or the opportunity presents itself. I feel that JL kind of took out the guys that were building momentum in the 2nd half a little early and put in some guys that let the game get close again. I don't know what MK is supposed to be doing when he is out there but he is acting like a 3 point shooting guard. He needs to try to get the ball in the paint more like TB does but he wasn't doing that.

To clarify I think there was a lot of improvement mainly with WE and TB getting tough and you could sense it. They were getting angry and going hard after rebounds and going to the hoop with authority...that needs to continue. EM looked like a lost freshmen again I felt. AW has disappointed a bit...he needs to learn to take over games because he can. Lots of improvement but against a more talented team we get torn apart. Wofford missed a lot of open opportunities and it hurt them.

I thought that our substitution patterns were very good tonight with the exception of the 7 minute mark toward the end of the game. That is basically when Wofford made their run. I do not think that Milos should have been on the floor at that time. So far, I have not seen anything that warrants giving Milos significant minutes. I hope that I am proven wrong and Milos starts to make significant contributions. fwiw, Milos will make meaningful contributions as a Brave... maybe not this year!

Again there were a lot of positives tonight. It was obvious that the team went through some rebounding drills this week. A very nice TEAM win with a lot of positives to build on for the season.
