Ditto that DC. Thought we got jobbed time and time again by the team wearing the black and white tonight.
I'd also like to give DC (David Collins) some props. We were a different team when he was in there - I like the hustle I saw.

Well lets hope that them not wanting it over in 2 games is true and we get calls in our favor on Wednesday night, and then a fair game on Friday because some of those calls were some of the worst I've seen....especially the ridiculous and one's.
I say Wednesday night we play our game, and we'll get a win. For Friday night; I think the press seems to work pretty well against them. I don't think it'd be smart to do it all game..we're only playing 6 or 7 players deep so we don't want to wear them out too much. I'd like it for the beginning of the game about 5 minutes to see if it throws them off and gets us some confidence on their home court. And then do it again a significant amount in the 2nd half. I don't know....I'm not a basketball strategy expert. I'm just really disappointed in the 2 or 3 chances they seemed to always get on offense...

I liked the slip screen adjustment in the 2nd half as tulsa was chasing the 3pt shooter off the screen all night. I kept saying that all BU needed to do was pass to the screener and when they sank kick it back to the shooter. I also think early in the game they need to attack Jordan and basically jump into his chest (much like most the MVC did to POB). He leaves his feet to block the shot every time and that is a definite vulnerability where fouls are concerned.
Does anyone know if this crew of referees had any conference affiliation becaue they reffed the game like most of the MVC games for BU.

OBVIOUSLY.........great call. I hope JL takes the high road but I wouldn't blame if if he didnt. Disgusting....

The and one call was awful, but guys, we got outboarded 46-25!!!! Do you know how bad that is???? We also hardly made any 3's...crouch was 1 for 7...he had an off night from deep, but made some nice inside points again. You can't win if they get all the shots. Give Tulsa credit...they manhandled us down low time and again
We can go deeper and get their guys tired so by the end of the game we would be a lot more rested then them. This would also play out for the next game. If you ever watched Arkansas during their glory years they never had a size advantage but went 10 deep and ran their oponents ragged. I'm not saying we have the same depth but Tulsa has no depth so let's run their bigs to the ground, the earlier we play pressure bal the better. They also have zero point guard so we could create turnoves in bunches and create easy baskets.
We could play:
1 DR - SM
2 JC -TCS
3 AW - WE
4 TW- RA
5 MS - DC
That to me is 10 players that we could switch around and press all game. I hope our players can play 20 minutes of pressure ball.
Have you watched the same season I have? I like Sam alot, and think he is a good player. I look forward to him being on Wednesday. He has gone through his fair share of ups and downs, just like the rest of the team, and I don't think it is fair to blast him for being down a bit and not hitting all his shots. If we are blasting people for not hitting shots, lets blast JC and Ruff for missing a few open shots tonight.

i love the idea of getting more time for our tall guys.
we were obviously lacking in the rebound department. It'd be great to have austin and MS on the court at the same time. or DC and RA or ANYBODY!!! this team will walk all over us if we play with all guards and MS.
side note...theron needs to get in the paint more on Wednesday!
Well no doubt the and one was a really bad call. I really think refs like making that call...We got a few calls but TU definitely got more than we did. They didn't cost us the game though.
46-25 on the boards with TU getting 18 offensive rebounds...where you can pick up alot of fouls as well.
BU had only 12 assists on 27 shots..I haven't checked but I'm guessing it hasn't been that way most of the year.

If they do they shjould have held it P-T-P because we will have a lot more fans here then they will their. If they had gone the route of P-Town holding games 1 and 3 they could have had 6-8000 more fans at the games then they will this way. Oh well they will have to live and learn that you don't make P-Town second rate to anyone.
W/ what we have coming back and if our new committment does anything at all next year we won't be back to this tournament anytime soon.
Compliments to Tulsa as you have very fine looking team that won't be playing in the CBI next year either. Maybe we meet in the big dance next year.
