I've waited 35 years for this! BRADLEY BEATS ILLINOIS! 72-68. This is one of the greatest games in MY Bradley basketball history. It ranks right up their with the Sweet 16 and NIT Championship.

Great points, and you know I'm already dreading the NIU game next week. Classic trap game! We have to play with the same intensity there as we did tonight, no exceptions! A loss won't kill the season, but it would certainly take away the momentum from tonight. Hopefully with Peoria being so close our fans can easily outdraw the NIU fans who don't draw all that well, like we did against Loyola last year up here in Chicago.
 
Just got back from BWW - nice win...

and I have to say 3 things...

--great, great win and the guys played hard to get it - but it sure makes me wonder how good BU can be if we actually put it all together and play a really good game!

--did anyone else get the feeling the stripes tried hard to help UIUC get this one? especially that last foul call on WE - some of those fouls were completely non-existent!

--this is the best win for the Valley to date....but it'll be another 30 years before Illinois will ever play us again!

Nah tornado. You just had on the rose colored glasses like me. ;) The Illini fans are sayin' the same thing.
 
Like I said elsewhere--I will take success anytine, anywhere, with any coach. Way to go guys, good job Jim. Maybe the worm has turned. One thing is for sure--I will be rooting for U of I all year like I have never cheered them on before ;-) Please be a marquee win during selection time, please be a marquee win during selection time....

Nice balanced scoring among the starters. Nearly a double double for Egolf.

Wow. I didn't realize we were outrebounded that badly (43-29). We did cause quite a few turnovers on the Illini though.
