BU Basketball Special on WEEK

WEEK is preparing a special on Bradley Basketball which will air at 6:30 on Thursday.

They are soliciting for questions at the Sports Final Facebook page

Or by email to [email protected]

Questions must be submitted by one of those two methods. They will not be looking for questions on the boards.

2001-2002? ;)

Apologies - I should have clarified - Least talented team. They'll probably win more games than that team did, but it still is one of the great mysteries of our time how a team with 2 all-MVC guards (Gillingham and Gilbert), an all-Horizon League forward (Tucker), an SEC forward (Tisby) and an NBA all-star (Granger) could go 9-20. It is quite remarkable. That team should have been a top 25 team.

That just shows how important it is to have team chemistry and having players that fit a coaches system. That team would have been a great fit for a Les coached team. ;) :)

I'd say more a coach that knows how to play with the hand he's dealt and maximize what he has. Could Mo have done that with that group? Maybe. We'll never know. That same roster for the most part was 4-10 under Jim Les until Danny Granger got 'home sick'.

Maybe not a good excuse but 3 of them were freshmen. Best I could come up with.

let's maybe do the BU bashing in the BU bashing threads...and try not to show your stripes by turning every single thread, even those about TV coverage, into a BU bashing thread?

That's one of the all-time great questions, BB. One thing that can't be denied is the talent assembled clearly represented a marked departure from Mo's "safe" recruiting years (98-00) where he stopped going after potentially program-changing players after being burned by Grundy.

No mystery....chemistry

No mystery....chemistry

Eh. Another year together with the right leadership and I think they'd have been fine. Winning is an amazing way of curing 'chemistry' problems.

But I digress. Glad WEEK is getting back involved with the program. I know a lot of people in the area were upset when they took the games off WEEK and went to Comcast. DirecTV subscribers were left in the dark for a few years as far as viewing games.

Man I hate these long layoffs...a few days is fine, but I think BU goes way overboard on this 'studying for finals' thing every year. Most players only take 12 hours, and a majority of finals are usually done by the following Monday. What harm would there really be in playing 1 game during this period? I'm sure the players wouldn't mind a game to distract them from the stress of finals. I don't need a standard 2 game week, but going 10+ days between games year after year is a real buzzkill, even this year. Just imagine the buzzkill if we were good!

Remember the WEEK Bradley special is on tonight at 6:30 pm on WEEK (channel 25, Comcast channel 10 and 906)

I saw the show-- this is a team of good kids but gobs of the experienced players (Sam, TB, and now DSE) are out, some of our experience - as in Dodie - is just shaking off the rust, and AW is doing quite well....
Give 'em a little more time given the circumstances...

What happened to the questions that were suppose to go to J.Simon, no time given for that segment.

According to Josh, no questions were submitted following the directions as to how to ask the questions, which were to email him directly or post them on the Sports Final Facebook page.
