BU Braves TV

Disturbed

New member
I won't be able to attend tonight, and was planning to watch on-line. I've had a lot of problems in the past with the feed, and I know others have too. Is it worth the aggravation to even attempt to watch on-line, or has it gotten better?

Last year was great but this year has been hit and miss. The ISU game I had no problems at all but the game before I missed half of the game. I live in Mexico so I take what I can get when it comes to watching my Braves. If it is like the last game it is worth the time.

Everything he said. At times, including the last game, it has been very good this year, and I think much better picture quality than in past years. At other times it is extremely aggravating.

Ditto, its been hit and miss. It seems the best feeds this year have been the ones coming from other schools. But if the feed goes down just click on the audio and listen to it and then click back on the video link a few minutes later. I missed minutes of the first half of the Wichita State game and about 10 minutes of the second half but was able to see the last fun filled 10 minutes. The feed from Bradley is not as consistent as it was last year, I guess we are spending money on a lot of other stuff right now but I don't think it would take a lot of money to fix the problem. The Illinois State feed was great. If the feed goes down, go to audio, try, try again every few minutes and then you have wait a minute to see if it's going to start up:)

What is funny to me about the online production is that you have one company JumpTV who SFP has to call continually during games to "alert" them of issues like no video or nothing but buffering, but they normally lay the blame at BU's feet saying that BU uses outdated equipment.

Memo to both Jump and BU... I personally am tired of the excuses and finger pointing. Get it right, if your going to offer a product make the product as updated as possible, have a person on both ends who's sole respondsiblity it is to make sure the production goes without any issues and stop passing the buck.

I have had the online service for Im guessing 7 years and this seasons service is honestly worse then it was 6-7 years ago.

But I really am tired of someone in the chat room every game having to call Jump and wake them up or have them fix a problem but blame BU. But BU is equally to blame.. its there name on the front of the production.

Is Carver's equipment out of date?
I think the Markin Center is gonna have some real nice equipment that is up to date - right?

No. It's down...............AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:( :( :( :(

This whole thing has been a source of anguish for the past two years. It really sheds a poor light on the athletic department when I can go to other teams sites and watch games for free in very high quality.

Never, I mean never will I pay any money again for these feeds. What a waste of money, terrible or horrible does not give justice to how poor the feeds from BU is.
