BU-Creighton Updates

A pretty successful college coach once told me that a dunk like those of CR's are worth more than just 2 points. They can sometimes demoralize a defense, and turn the momentum of a game around. Chris' throwdowns, especially the putback of a missed shot seemed to have that effect.

Essentially this is exactly what Spoon said on the broadcast.

Just home from the game. WOW! Now that was fun. We've been a hot /cold team a lot of the season. We sure need the same effort tomorrow and Sunday.

Top ten? I was at a bar where I heard some of the patrons (all except me a partisan crowd) say play of the day!

On ESPN News they had a Top 5 plays and the CRob dunk was #3 with a Lebron dunk at #2 and another NBA dunk at #1....
seriously those NBA dunks were nowhere near what Chris' was but ESPN does run NBA games so I gues they gotta lick up to their business partners!

Excellent point Coach. Starting with CR's "savage" putback with 16:10 left, the Braves outscored Creighton 47-27. The Braves had just two points in the 2nd half up to that point.

I think CR's dunk planted the seed, and really helped us play hard. But we still had to keep playing hard to "water" that seed. I watched the game on my DVR last night, and the score at the time of the dunk was low 40's (42-40?) We then would get a somewhat larger lead, but it shrunk for a few cycles as the score was later 54-51. That's when CU got "stuck on a number" and we blew the lead open to I think 64-51 and finally never looked back.

Congrats to Shockers for a fine year...and I think the Shox are a good team in the future, and you guys have the 2nd best team message board as well!
