BU now receiving votes in ESPN Coach's Poll

Despite the 3 game losing streak, BU has gone from receiving 0 votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coach's Poll last week to receiving 3 this week. Ironically, that is the same amount as the Fighting Illini.

The AP Poll comes out later today. BU has received votes for the past couple of weeks in that poll. I doubt they'll receive any this week, but you never know.

Someone did not watch the MSU game!

Or perhaps they've watched all of BU's games and know that they're much better than what they showed in an early morning road game in one of the toughest venues to play in the country.

ya i agree- msu will be a safe pick for a deep run in the tourny this year and a probable top 5 big ten team

I'm not sure about a deep tourney run (those are hard to predict nowadays), but they're easily a top 5 Big 10 team and a Top 25 team nationally IMO. They also have one of the top coaches in the country who's won a national championship. When he says that he's NEVER had a team play defense like MSU did yesterday, it tells you that BU simply ran into the wrong team on the wrong day. MSU probably would have handled anyone in the country yesterday. We just happened to be there for it.

I give you guys credit. That is some amazing spin on an dreadful game (or two if you include the Tenn. Tech. game). If you don't, you should be working in public relations or for a political party. :)

Tennessee Tech irks me more than yesterday's game. A lot more. If BU doesn't giftwrap that game for the holidays, there probably isn't as much concern about yesterday.

If you don't believe in moral victories (which is what I heard a lot of after Illinois), then you shouldn't believe in demoralizing defeats. They lost the game yesterday to one of the elite programs in the nation. Yeah, it sucks losing by that much as a fan, but in the grand scheme of the season, it only counts for 1 loss. A loss was expected, and at the same time it should be expected that they bounce back in resounding fashion. If they don't, then there should be cause for concern.

Embarrassing

Embarrassing

D@mn! That MSU game was emabarrassing! I thought only programs like Our Sisters of Mercy or Alcorn State lost like that :-o

Never would have thought my Bradley Braves would get beat like that

Wheels came off when ZA went cold and/or they blocked several penetrations to the basket. It made them very one dimensional and easier to defend. I think there were a few guys who looked ready to go home near the 10 minute mark.

Even the great programs have loses like that. You'd be hard pressed to find any team who did have a loss like that over the past few years. It happens. It's one game. It's not a season. Get over it. I know the Braves will use it as motivation.

Syracuse last season on Mar 2nd lost to Depaul 108-69.

(they then lost at home to Villanova by 10 before winning the BigEast Tourney defeating Cincy, UConn, Gtown and Pitt)
