BU offers Sam Dekker

He's going, going, gone!

Should BU just limit recruiting efforts to kids who don't stand an ice cube's chance you know where - of ever getting even a phone call from a big school?
It sounds like surely you'd rather be battling WIU and SIUE for recruits...so let's just only go for the ones we know we will never face any opposition with, OK??
That way, our success will be 100% and we'll never miss out on a kid who maybe was better than everyone thought!

Ease up...they were joking around. No one said anything about Bradley going for kids of this caliber.

That was a quick process! Badger fans are pretty excited to have him. I know how it feels to have programs swoop in and take players, it happens to UW fairly often, like with Mychael Henry from Chicago.

I imagine your staff is monitoring some other WI prospects as the 2012 class in Wisconsin is looking very good.

When it happens that fast its because the kid wants to really play for your school and that is a good thing. It also indicates that there is no one behind him trying to string things along for their own benefit. I have a feeling he'll be pretty good by his Sophomore year.

Didn't mean to get you so riled up T.

You read an awful lot into a short post (with a smiley face for cripes sake).

I was watching MLB on TV when I read the thread and thought a baseball saying would be appropriate for the situation of a kid getting an opportunity to play in state at a very successful school.

Had nothing at all to do with BU's recruiting. Earlier in this thread I was very supportive of the kid playing for BU!

I know this is an old thread - but anyone who watched the Indiana-Wisconsin game on ESPN - or any Wisconsin game..
It is pretty amazing how good & consistent Sam Dekker has become. Bradley actually was one of the FIRST schools to offer almost every kid on the Wisconsin squad...

Dekker, Gasser (LINK), Kaminsky LINK), Showalter (LINK), Brown (LINK), plus Brust who's graduated and I believe even one or two more
