BU picked 5th? yet has 3 players in the all conf world

I feel like Les meant this as motivation, i.e. you haven't earned as much respect as you could have.

There have been a couple times in the recent past with other JL teams they had put a pretty good run together and thought the world/MVC was theirs, only to crash back to earth.

Good idea to drill the point home, individual player accolades don't get MVC titles or NCAA bids.

The BU team/program has to walk the talk.

The Missouri State guy pictured there is Adam Leonard --
and Leonard is not on the 1st Team...

But even if it was the exact same five guys as on the 1st team All Conference --
would they have known that enough in advance to have gotten those printed up that way?
I seem to recall that the voters ballots for the MVC All-Conf teams weren't required turned in until only about a week ago.
Fancy Media Guides like that would have to have been set up several weeks ago -- and surely they would not have had all the ballots in and so they must have simply chosed those five guys for the cover independent of the balloting.

Same goes for the brochures I mentioned that allow you to order tickets for Arch Madness...they show almost the exact same five players, except for Warren.

I just checked the Valley Arch Madness brochure..and as I noted the five guys pictured are from those same five teams -- UNI, CU, BU, WSU, and MSU -- but instead of Sammy it shows Andrew, and instead of Toure Murry for WSU it pictures Graham Hatch..

Braves4Life --I note your avatar is the front of the MVC Media Guide...and a very similar picture also graces the front on the Brochure that promotes
the MVC Tournament this March and details ticket plans and order forms...(except the brochure has Andrew Warren!)

so isn't it odd that they choose only FIVE teams to grace the fronts of those publications and leave ISU, InSU, Drake, SIU, and Evansville out of the picture altogether!!

Is this a reward for being the top 5 teams in the early preseason previews??
Is this a new MVC strategy that only the top 5 Valley teams as viewed by those who write about the Valley get their pics on the following season's publications?
it certainly doesn't have anything to do with their finishes last year or else they'd have ISU pictured with OE -- but it's clear they want some element of current players shown..
I have to kinda think it is..........

Great Point! It seems to me that the league should only be promoting the top 5, and I think that the most seen publication is the mens so I agree with it
