BU postgame thread--BU 76 ISU 75

With my joke out of the way, ISU has a really nice team. I did think the refs played too big a part. Pretty Boy just has to be part of the action.

Hopefully Slack is OK. I talked to BBFan at the half and he thought Slack had a dislocated shoulder, but on the post game show Dave Snell said he thought it was a contusion. Nobody likes to see anyone hurt.

Collins did not play.

Theron Wilson went 5-7 from three and is now 19-36 for the season= 53%.

Warren was 4-6 from three to raise his season percentage to 37&.

Great game by BU tonight. D needs a ton of work, the rotation is horrible and rebounding....well tonight lets just celebrate the win!
 
what is the maximum number of student tickets?

how many students you guys think were at the game tonight (in the student section)?

I'm guessing at least 1000 if you count the folks in the upper bowl student section.

I think there were 1,600 last year at the ISU game, and that was a BU record.

And Salley definitely said something that got him the T. That was my take from the student section.

Ball movement was great all night. A couple of times I thought I was watching last year's bunch out there.

A really entertaining game. ISU has great team quickness. Slack appeared to dislocate his right shoulder, so I expect him to miss a couple weeks at least. That hurt ISU.

Bradley still gives up too many layups by their guards, and too many offensive rebounds and putbacks. But everyone played tough, and especially Ruffin, Warren, Wilson, & Maniscalco.

I am rewinding the tape and gonna watch it again!

I see an interesting trend, lose by 1 to the best team, win by 1 to the worst team, win by 1 to the second best team....


Is the margin in the Valley that small? :confused::confused:
 
The 5 Technicals

1) Coach JL said he got his in the 1st 1/2 for yelling across the court... and he was warned.

2) ISU player (#5 - I think) jawed (kept smacking - and BU player said nothing) after an Andrew Warren scrub to the loose ball, he got a personal and a T... just as a media time-out hit.

3) ISU player hung on the rim and seemed "showboaty"/taunting with the hanging.

4) Matt Salley POUNDED an ISU player and after the whistle blew, play was done, MS jawed some harsh trash (my reading lips is bad, but I think I saw the F-bomb).

5) Jankovich got one after a charging foul was called against ISU... I think it came too quick, but I don't know if/how he was warned.

which BU player said nothing? Ruff was jawing with Boo while coming off the floor and he wasn't very quiet about it

Alls I KNOW....

The Ref said he watched EVERYTHING after the ball was dead.... Janko even ran down to plead (maybe the same case you suggest) and the ref said he watched EVERYTHING and the BU player said nothing and the ISU player kept it up.

So I can only guess... if it was Ruff... and I thought it was him.... my attention went to #5 for a reason, I thought there mighta been something... and #5 spatted harshly... then bang, the T, and the official ran to the scoretable.

Who knows what Ruff said (I missed that part) - if it was him. Coulda been as harmless as Tony Bennet's comment to a Pitt player ('hope you enjoy your ride home') that got him fired up.
 
I saw Jordan Prosser, he was sitting near the BU bench, kinda behind lefty,
He was in the BU lockerroom during the pregame along with his friend.
He had a tall friend but I don't know if was another recruit.
Someone else told me they saw Donivine Stewart, I did not.
I saw and said hi to several ex-BU players, JJ Tauai, Chuck Westendorf, Steve Doty, Trevor Trimpe.
 
Just got off a plane from Detroit, so I wasn't able to watch the game. Very interesting stats!

Congratulations Braves on winning another close one!!!! Winning can be addictive ... keep it up!!!!

I had to work tonight.:( Can someone tell me who was in our starting lineup tonight? I heard that my guy RA started but cant confirm this?

Had to rely on Snell and the Coach for my game info even though I missed the start.

Nice win and great to have Ruff back.
