I'm told both the Braves and Salukis are recruiting James Milliken.
He's playing for Cowley County in Kansas. Rivals does not list either.. but does have Creighton & MSU after him.

He was the frehsman of the year in that JC conference eastern Div. last year

He's originally out of NC

wow - the guy sure does have some games where he's hot..
one game vs. Independence CC he was 8-12 form beyond the arc, then 6-10 vs. Coffeyville who are playing at the Nationals, 6-8 against Dodge City (Tyshon's school), 5-8 against KCCC, and 5-9 against Barton CC!

and he gradually got a bit better as the season wore on..

From 01/12 thru the end of the season his 3-pt shooting was 56-127 - 45%
and from Feb. 2 thru the end of the season it was 38-82 - 46.3%
and over his final 6 games including playoff games it was 20-41 - 49%

His scoring average alos went up down the stretch - up to 20 ppg over that final 6-game stretch and 30 in the losing effort in their regionals

He looks like the type of shooting guard I would like to see us land with this class. He averages 18.5 ppg and shoots 42% from three. Almost every team has players like this, and he is just what we need. He sounds a lot like Tyler Brown of ISU.
Here are his stats at Cowley County junior college this year

this would make me think there may be truth to the rumor about a shooter that's sitting out a few days back.

Could the minutes per game possibly be right? It says 12.3 minutes. It would seem to be very high production of 1.5 points per minute.

The top 100 JC players contains at least four players that have now been mentioned in the recruiting threads: Bradley ( 32 ) , Carter ( 10 ) , Delaney ( 8 ) , and Milliken ( 39 ). How seriously they are considering will be the important thing.

If you are referring to the minutes per game stat on the NJCAA website- no it is not accurate.
