Bradley is now recruiting Dontavious Sears, a 6'4" wing from Eastern Oklahoma State College. His teammate DeVaughn Purcell, who Bradley also recruited, just verballed to ISU. Purcell was the team's leading scorer, but Sears was 2nd with 16.7 ppg, and the top rebounder with 6.6 rpg. He shot 50% overall, 40% from three, and 80% from the FT line. He would have likely scored a bunch more if he didn't have one of the most prolific juco scorers (Purcell) on his team.

Sears is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Manassas High School, where he was a good player, and developed into a high scorer his senior year, but he did not get very much Division I recruiting interest. But at Eastern Oklahoma State College, he blossomed into a terrific player as he played more on the wing. His 3-point shooting was over 50% his freshman season, and was over 40% his sophomore season.
He is scheduled to visit Bradley this weekend (4/11-4/12/14). He has offers from Hawaii, UT-Martin, Loyola Marymount, and Lamar, with interest from Illinois State, Auburn, Southern University, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State, and Bradley. I would expect Bradley to extend an offer this weekend.
