BU recruit- class of 2011- Justin Gant

Reports of offers are commonly no more accurate than guesses...

Maybe JG will look at the tremendous experience the Bradley team just had, and want to be part of it again the next time BU does it.
I have to believe it might become a quadrennial event as it went so well this year.

Justin Gant will make an unofficial visit to Notre Dame tomorrow (Sat. 9/19). He visited Michigan last weekend.
Gant lists his offers as- Bradley, Evansville, Indiana State, Iowa, Rice and Southern Illinois.

I have seen several comments lately on some of the other boards (ND, PU, IU) about Gant, and it appears for some reason they no longer want the kid.
I hope BU stays in touch........

Wasn't there a kid that came over to the coaches when watching an away Bradley game basically saying he wanted to go to Bradley....I thought it was this kid? Am I wrong and crazy?

I don't know if Justin Gant is the kid you are referring to, but he was at the Bradley game in Terre Haute last season. He met briefly with the coaches after the game. Bradley offered him a scholarship as a freshmen and they continue to recruit him.

I would really like to see the staff get Gant here for a visit.....the kid can really play and is still growing!

Everything I have read about him has been spot on positive. I'd have to believe he would be on top of our list.

Justin was at the BU-Indiana State game in Terre Haute a couple weeks ago. Bradley is still interested in him, but has been focusing on their recruiting for the class of 2010. Gant is a junior (class of 2011).

He's always been 2011, as far as I can see.

I hope BU keeps the hot pursuit on Gant. He sounds like the kind of player we need and there's no reason to slow down our efforts with him. Gant and Williams in '11 would be great....

Lol. Darn. Was looking for potential 2010 recruits for depth in the paint. Either way, as PeoriaLou said still seems like a great get for bu. Hope he's still interested come 2011.

I'm looking for 2 game-ready JUCO's for 2010, and class full of high schoolers for 2011.

A new premium article appeared on Scout.com about Justin today-

2011's Gant claims 7 offers

here is a clip from the article-
Justin Gant, a standout at Terre Haute (Ind.) North, has quietly put together an impressive junior season.
The 6-foot-8, 205-pound power forward is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Patriots, who are 16-6 on the year.
Throughout the season a college coaches have made appearances at his game and he’s already scored offers from Southern Illinois, Indiana State, Evansville, Iowa, Miami-Ohio, Bradley and Rice. “I also get letters from Illinois and I went to a couple of Notre Dame and Michigan games,” Gant added. “Kansas State sent me a couple letters lately too.”
Gant said he plans to discuss schools following the season and possibly come up with a top five. Gant and Terre Haunte North will begin section play tomorrow against Plainfield.

Gant is the type of player the Braves need, he would flourish in the BU system! We need to get him in for a visit!

Heck, he's already had over 6,800 views for a 2011 recruit!:D

Anything new on Justin?

If we do get JW and have no scholarships left for a big this year, getting JG with the last one for next year would be great along with SH coming in and DS at point guard!
