BU recruit- class of 2013- Alvin Ellis

Alvin Ellis is a talented 6-4 SG, now at Michigan State and now entering his junior year...
but he's had problems....
in his first two seasons he played sparingly - then this summer he had some issues and two separate alcohol-related arrests and was suspended for four exhibition games over the late summer.

now he's fallen so far in the playing rotation that even in a huge blowout over Ferris State, Ellis played little and in neither of MSU's exhibition games did he score more than a couple points.

There are rumbles he is not a happy camper...
 
Izzo gets some criticism from some people for not recruiting enough Chicago and Chicago AAU players. But he is a no-nonsense guy who does not like to play the games some programs have to play to get those kids.
Bradley tried to morph into that type of school that plays their games when they hired Chin Coleman and got into bed with some of those Chicago guys. How much good did it do them?
