BU recruit- class of 2013- Michael Tucker

the writing has been on the wall for while -

also there's some interesting chatter as to what's behind this and who is guiding his steps...

since last weekend he's been playing in some "exposure event" & AAU-type events which committed recruits almost never do.

I'm agree with the rest of you and am sorry to see Tucker decommit from Bradley. It has happened before and probably will again in the future. We just have to go on and continue to find ways to move upwards.

changing high schools is the first tip off something's up...
most of the players we've had on our roster like Lemon, Pickett, Pross, Bell never jumped from HS to HS...
but of the four we had under LOI, Tucker, Zecevic, Blake, Swopshire - all of them have...let's hope the rest are "solid on Bradley"

Are you saying Bradley would accept commitments or that you expect the two visiting recruits to commit?

If it is the latter, then how can we still be in the running for Delaney?

I think they both want to be at Bradley and Bradley would like them both. I don't think either committing would prohibit them from finding a way to still bring in Delaney. I also think that Bradley will be looking at other players in the coming weeks.

One Rivals.com report from today had this to say-

Another top performer for Atlanta Xpress was unsigned senior small forward Michael Tucker. A newly reclassified prospect to the 2014 class, Tucker was a Bradley commitment but has reopened his recruitment. He will attend Mount Zion Prep in North Carolina as a postgrad student. Tucker is a super-athletic wing with college strength and the ability to get to the basket off of the dribble. Now that he's a 2014 prospect, look for him to get even bigger scholarship offers based on his physical tools and his aggressiveness as a scorer.

De committ

De committ

Great!! Another possible great MVC player will never see a BU uniform... BCS boys will
be all over him now with this kind of publicity....I hope there is still a chance he comes here!!

Michael Tucker ...A newly reclassified prospect to the 2014 class.... will attend Mount Zion Prep in North Carolina ..

just a followup on Michael Tucker -- despite saying he'd be at Mt. Zion Prep and a 2014 recruit, he still hasn't played there --
ESPN changed their page saying he was at Mt. Zion and he probably still is but he's not playing, and no other site has any new info on him.

There's no mention of him since - although way last summer he was getting offers from top schools, Maryland, South Carolina...LINK

BUT -- you can go and see that Mt. Zion has a web page and he is not on the team.
However - what has happened is unfortunate. In the preseason - late in June, he tore his ACL and is out for the year - by the time he is healed and cleared to play - he will probably get little recruiting interest having been off the recruiting map for 2 years.

But, the guy may still have a lot of potential if he gets a good result from his ACL reconstruction and works hard on rehab..
I hope Geno has stayed in touch....this guy could still be a steal if he wants to play for Bradley.
