BU recruit- class of 2014- Peyton Allen

He is a talent that is for sure. However, efficiency is something of a concern for me. When your shooting 20-30 shots again and getting 20-30 points a game, that's not what I want out of my scorer. He has great body control, good feel, but extremely streaky (on misses & makes) when you cut his shots into the 8-10 range in college how efficient will he be? That's my biggest question/concern at the mid-high level programs.

I know - but he is pretty much the only scorer on the team and may feel required to shoot a lot - but that's the kind of player Omari Grier and Danny Adams were in high school but they still helped with their ability to hit an outside shot - something we need.

Yeah but both of Grier and Adams are knock down shooters. Peyton is a scorer with ball in his hands a ton. A lot different learning how to play without the ball in your hands. He has a pretty darn good junior with him on the team named Cole Harper 6'6 Combo guard. Don't think he is the scorer Peyton is but is very capable of scoring and very good distributor. had 15pts 15rebs against Proviso East this weekend.

Im not saying Peyton wouldn't be a good get for Bradley, Im just saying he isn't a lights out shooter.

ROTH & PETERS would be prime examples: Both Scored 20+ a game in HS but were effective in the number of shots they took...

I would love for Bradley to offer Shea Feehan (PND) a preferred walk-on spot. Kid is a knock down distance shooter. Can handle the ball, tough & savy and can guard. Needs to add strength, but that will come in college. Would be great roll player and needed sniper from outside.

JUST MY OPINOIN!

Peyton Allen seems to be getting significant interest from Oregon State - whose fans seem to think Bradley & St. Joe's are the schools to beat..

Peyton Allen continues to put up tremendous numbers in his senior season. Bradley needs this kind of smart player, with leadership qualities, and who can shoot the ball well.

Peyton Allen named one of the top 5 unsigned seniors in Illinois in this article. It suggests Bradley is not involved with Allen, but that is not correct, as I have heard Bradley is still very much involved with him.
Allen is the only quality shooter on the list.-

Illinois State just offered a scholarship to Peyton Allen.
Interesting, since they do not have any seniors, and all their scholarships are spoken for, unless someone is on the way out (or unless Deonte Hawkins doesn't qualify).

I saw a tweet from the same source, who said Coach Uken was in to watch Allen the other night. So I think we are definitely in on him still.

With all the great teams in the State Farm Classic down in Bloomington - Peyton Allen has carried his team into the CHAMPIONSHIP game in the big school division!
Quite an accomplishment..

BTW - Donte Thomas has his team playing in the Championship game of the Consolation Bracket of the Big School division.

and Nick Norton has his team in the Championship Game of the Small School Division

..the sign of a real winner is that they help their teams win.
