Iman Shumpert, a do-it-all 6'4" guard (class of 2008) from Oak Park-River Forest tells the Illinois-Rivals site that he will be visiting Bradley this weekend.

Here is the Iman Shumpert topic from the Recruiting Board--

Summary- He has lead his team to a 21-5 record, but has an elbow injury that will keep him out for a couple weeks. He was averaging 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Northwestern, Bradley, Southern Illinois, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Loyola, and Toledo have offered.
But he says,"Illinois, Clemson, Notre Dame Wake Forest, Iowa, Wisconsin and Arizona State are also recruiting me. I'm actually going to visit Bradley this weekend. I've been down there a couple of times before."

That sounds good DC.......it would be nice to be sold out.....get a W on senior day and maybe get a Verbal.......it doesn't hurt to dream! :-o

He sounds very interested if he has been here before and is coming back. The high schools are finishing up their schedules and beginning playoffs soon. So this is not a usual time for kids to make college visits unless they are really interested. This kid is a fantastic talent.

In anyones experience, does "been down there a couple times before" translate to I'm really thinking of going here?

I don't know that you can read anything definite into it, but it has to mean he thinks highly of Coach Les and Bradley. If it was a local recruit (like Matt Roth) it would have less meaning since it is no effort or expense to visit. But for a kid to drive 2 1/2 hours each way to visit when his team is preparing for the playoffs, IMO that's a good sign he is seriously considering BU. But like all kids (Roth included), I am sure he would like to get offers from higher level schools.

Iman Shumpert had a severe elbow injury and his arm is in a cast.
He did not play for the 2nd straight game last night, as his team
#18 Oak Park won 58-36 without him.

The win assures them of the West Suburban Silver Conference title.
Shumpert may not be back the rest of the season.
He should be easy to spot with his arm in a cast.

Thanks for pointing out that Iman Shumport would be there in a cast. He sat near me. Some of the other people I was with pointed out Matt Roth, his dad and his current coach were a row behind him. There also looked to be a couple other recruits in those two rows.
