BU Seniors

Does anyonr know why the 3 Seniors did not speak after the game? I don't think they spoke with Dave Snell either. At least while I was listening to the post game show they didn't. That has been a BU tradition as long as I can remember. Just curious if anyone knows why?

What I'm thinking is that the 2 that dressed for the game did not play significant minutes in their careers, and TB was not dressed and may have been disappointed at the way his BU career ended.
Probably not the reason, but just my wild guess.
Maybe Geno had asked them collectively if they wanted to do that or not.
I'd like to see from here on out the tradition to carry on, as next season, we will have a good group including DSE & WE who will be greatly missed.

Surprisingly, me and my buddies arrived 1/2 hr. before the game from Chicago! Once there, I was hoping to hear from the seniors. At least the game was a good one to watch.

Little Brave ,your guess is as good as mine but I don't think the number of minutes played or whether they were in uniform would make any difference. Its always been a tradition for them to speak . Maybe just maybe someone didn't want them saying something about someone no longer here. Just my wild a-- guess.

Who would they say something about?

I am wondering if they could not do any post-game activity due to the hockey game that night.
I was with a group that got a arranged picture on the court after the game, but they were in full swing removing chairs to convert the arena to hockey.

This had absolutely nothing to do with the decision to change tradition. If you noticed the players all did their thing in the pre-game ceremonies. The reason for the change is that most of the players said the same thing over and over and over and over and... You get my drift. Most people I've talked to agree that this was a much needed and welcome change from the past.

In past years Bradley Braves Club also did their raffle drawing after the game, and after all the senior ceremonies. But this year I noticed the raffle drawing was at halftime.

We for sure run in different circles. I don't know anyone who didn't want them to say their goodbys. The pre game ceremonies have always been that way. The Seniors never talked before the game. Its always been after the game then they went up stairs to talk with Dave Snell. It was a way for the fans to show them their appreciation one last time and I and all the people I talked to did not understand why. If Bobby Parker reads this maybe he can explain why to those of us old timers who don't deal with change very well. We really don't care if they say the same thing over and over we would just like to let them know how much we appreciate all the hard work they put into their careers.

I'm still waiting for an answer from anyone involved with Senior night to explain why the Seniors weren't given the opportunity to speak to us or on the radio. If you don't want it on here for some reason. PM me. I realize the program doesn't owe us an explaination but if not what are we hiding? I do know one senior was prepared to talk but never given the chance. Don't know about the other two but I'm sure they would have spoke to if given the chance.

I don't know the answer, and I doubt anyone else here knows. If you need an answer I'd suggest calling or emailing the Sports Info people.

I don't know an official answer but my guess is that the Civic Center had a 3 hour turn around for the Hockey game. That doesn't explain why they weren't on the radio.

That would be my guess too. I'm pretty sure they were all on the radio before the game.

TB was standing around the bench after the game, as if he was waiting for someone to talk to..

Bobby Parker makes a lot of questionable decisions.

I am not sure why we are bringing this topic back, but I seriously doubt the elimination of the seniors addressing the fans was Bobby's decision.
