BU soccer wins MVC Tournament title 1-0 over Creighton

Here's the story from the Creighton media....These guys have some video on their page............(the local stories will be up tomorrow, probably.)

This broadcaster didn't seem to know the topic very well....he said as the video was playing that Bradley scored off a corner-kick, but they didn't--- it was off a restart.
He also called Bradley, "Bratley", and he calls Bradley's Stephen Brust, "Stephen Burst".

If he doesnt say "Boom goes the dynamite" then no worries :)

Tornado, what do you expect from a guy who had to broadcast all that time for a 1-0 score? Seriously, this team deserves so much credit for what they went through this year and were able to pull this off. Congrats guys, all BU fans are proud of you.

And especially, congratulations to a really class guy, Jim DeRose. I almost fear that the recognition he will now get (long overdue) could mean that larger programs will come calling.

Coach DeRose is one of the best coaches in America, not just soccer but all sports. 11 years ago my highschool team could have beat us in soccer. What he has done is nothing short of amazing. Bradley needs to do what ever it takes to keep him.

Great job, Braves!! Talk about against the odds, losing 4 players to start the year and beating Creighton at their place for the MVC title. DeRose is an awesome coach.

Speaking of NCAA tournament berths, BU had 4 in the 2005-06 year (soccer, men's basketball, women's golf, and a women's track individual qualifier). Does anyone know if that is a BU record or can remember a season with more? It'd be great to get that many (or more) again, this is the way to start.

Yeah, but Bradley is a large program. They have been in or in the running for the NCAA Tournament just about every year under DeRose. Hopefully he will stay and continue to build Bradley into a consistent top 10 or 15 program every year as Creighton is right now.
